Conspiracy drug deal set up by cop, reports a Bronx Criminal Lawyer

An auxiliary cop and a retired NYPD veteran have been charged with conspiracy after delivering a duffel bag of alleged cocaine packets to the Bronx. The two face a minimum sentence of ten years in prison should they be convicted. The auxiliary arranged a meeting between the veteran cop and someone he thought to be a drug dealer. The supposed drug dealer turned out to be an informant. The alleged plan was for the ex-officer to move the load from a warehouse in Long Island to a buyer located in the Bronx, FBI officials told Bronx Criminal Lawyers. It was a $12,000 transaction which the two carried out. Amid the sting operation, the NYPD vet bragged that showing his ID and shield always keeps him out of trouble with cops. He was also armed with a 9-mm handgun, and told one informant that he would be ready to shoot if necessary, according to a Bronx Criminal Lawyer. The auxiliary officer set up the exchange after boasting that he could transport ten kilograms of coke by recruiting members of the NYPD, while the veteran officer was the muscle to carry out the plan. The retiree had been with the NYPD for twenty years (1986-2006), and the auxiliary was from the 30th precinct in the Bronx and had been there since 2006, reports New York Criminal Lawyers. It is unclear if these officers will face any additional charges, or if there are any previous incidents in which they have been involved.

A Queens Imam given wrist slap, according to Queens Criminal Lawyer

An Imam from Queens was sentenced to only four days in jail which he had already
served for lying to FBI agents. The imam had been serving as an NYPD informant and
pleaded guilty to telling an Afghanistan immigrant that he was under investigation,
reports a Queens Criminal Lawyer. The immigrant, along with three co-conspirators,
were plotting to kill hundreds with homemade backpack bombs by detonating them in
the subways of Manhattan during rush hour. This knowledge caused the immigrant to
abort his plan, dispose of his materials for bomb, and left the city, which alerted two
other suicide bombers that they too were being watched, compromising the integrity of
the operation. In the plea arrangement, the imam will also have ninety days in which to
leave the United States, says a Queens Criminal Lawyer. He is not allowed to ever
return. He will be leaving behind a successful funeral parlor in Queens, as well as a wife,
children, and his elderly parents. New York Criminal Lawyers state that all of the
bombers that were being investigated by the FBI were trained by al Queda. The imam's
attorney claims that he did everything he could to help law enforcement and it was not
him but the FBI that tipped off the bomber. Prosecutors, of course, disagree with this
profession. The imam, also Afghan-born, revealed to the immigrant that federal agents
had his phones tapped and warned him to not involve himself in the "nonsense" in
Afghanistan and Iraq. At this time, the imam does not know where he will go, but has
hopes that some country will be willing to take him in. He does not have plans to return
to Afghanistan.

Vehicular Manslaughter is charged after a car crash reports a Suffolk Criminal Lawyer

A Suffolk County Court Judge received a guilty plea from a Smithtown man on a14-count indictment, one of which was aggravated vehicular manslaughter. A mother of two children under the age of nine, also from Smithtown, was killed by the man who was driving while intoxicated. The man had consumed five or six vodka drinks at two bars, after having taken Xanax earlier that day. He was northbound on Route 25A in his Chevy Silverado pickup truck when he crossed over the center line into the path of the young mother. The two vehicles hit head on. The driver of the truck admitted his negligence caused the accident, so statements from possible witnesses will most likely be unnecessary. The man is out on bond until his sentencing on June 9. The judge promised the man, in exchange for his plea, to a prison term of no more than 5 to 15 years. According to a Suffolk County Criminal Lawyer, the maximum sentence if he had received a trial conviction would have been 8 1/3 to 25 years. This was not his first time facing DWI charges, as he had been previously convicted of driving while impaired in 1988 and in 1999. He has remained sober since the accident, however. The children of the crash victim are the ones that quite possibly have been most affected by this incident, says a Suffolk County Criminal Lawyer, and will require the support of the family. It was not reported if the children’s father is going to be assuming responsibility for them, or if the victim’s family will have to step in.

A New York Criminal Lawyer is a must if you are facing criminal prosecution. You should not be without representation and risk an arrest and conviction which will ruin your life. A Jury trial is something which give you a chance to clear your name and go free. You will have a much better chance of this happening if you have the proper legal advice and expertise in your corner.

Football player absolved of assault charge, so states a NY Criminal Lawyer

A player for the NFL team, Pittsburg Steelers, will not face sexual assault charges after an encounter with a college student in a nightclub that occurred on March 5th. The young lady accused the man of attacking her in the Milledgeville, GA club Capital City. Because the allegation could not be proven beyond all reasonable doubt, the 20 year old decided not to proceed with charges; therefore no arrest was made according to a NY Criminal Lawyer. Her primary statement was that the man had been drinking with his friends after his birthday celebration then assaulted her, but she was found to be heavily inebriated and investigators found the results of her rape kit to prove inconclusive. The Ocmulgee Circuit DA stated that the actions of the man that night were not being condoned, but morals are not prosecuted, crimes are. With all current evidence being considered, it cannot be determined that an actual crime took place therefore this case will not proceed any further, says a NY Criminal Lawyer. The football player has another fight to contend with, as he has also been sued by a different woman claiming he raped her at a hotel and casino in Lake Tahoe in 2008. He denies this accusation and no criminal charges have been brought forth in that case either. Investigation into this case is still pending. It is unclear to NY Criminal Injury Lawyers what effect, if any, these allegations and proceedings will have on his future in the NFL.

A New York Criminal Lawyer is your best ally when you are facing criminal charges. If you have been accused of a crime you did not commit, you need a highly experienced New York Criminal Lawyer to represent you. Your future could depend on it.

He was accused of using the state money to pay personal expenses including an apartment in the Dominican Republic, jewelry, Yankees tickets and his daughter’s college tuition. Nassau County Criminal Lawyers report that Mr. Gonzalez indicated that he understood what he was doing and that his plea was being entered of his own free will.

Now, almost a year later, Mr. Gonzalez has asked to change his plea stating that his attorney at the time coerced him. Mr. Gonzalez told the judge that he entered the plea under “tremendous pressure” from his lawyer and was told to just answer yes as the judge questioned him. Now, the judge refuses to allow Mr. Gonzalez to change his plea indicating that his request to withdraw his plea is exactly how defendants attempt to undermine the judicial process. New York Criminal Lawyers indicate that the original lawyer in this case calls Mr. Gonzalez’s story “a near-total fabrication”.

Man With Fake Gun At a School Shot By Authorities Reports a New York City Criminal Lawyer

The rules and regulations regarding guns and various places of business are clearer now than ever before. Alcohol sales as well as the ability of a convicted sex offender to choose a place to live are all under scrutiny as we face more difficult times. New York City Criminal Lawyers report that police shot a twenty-two-year-old man after pointing a fake gun at an officer.

New York City Criminal Lawyers report that law enforcement officials identified the man shortly after school dismissed. Someone had apparently called 911 to report that a man with a gun was at the school. Obviously with the circumstances surrounding the various shootings at schools across the nation in recent years, this situation was treated very seriously and the officer proceeded with caution.

The man apparently showed the fake gun to two adults and that no children were ever in danger. However, when the officer arrived on the scene, the man pointed the fake pistol at him. The officer reacted by firing three rounds, which struck the man in the neck, torso and arm. The imitation pistol was silver and the barrel was inscribed with “Zebra-II”.

New York Criminal Lawyers report that the man was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after 4 PM. Authorities are investigating the shooting as well as why the man would even take part in such a stunt in the first place. The officer’s identity has not been released but he is still on duty.
