Fan Who Rushed onto Yankee Stadium Was After A-Rod

A fan ran onto Yankee Stadium field during a game to confront A-Rod about his love for Cameron Diaz, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. Apparently, the fan had a crush of his own on Diaz, and did not enjoy the competition.
The 33-year-old fan was taken down by security at the Stadium when he tried to rush the third baseman at the top of the fifth inning during Game 3 of the American League Championship Series, tackling him to the ground.
Police found a picture in the suspect’s pocket of Alex Rodriguez with his face crossed out and a drawing of a small gun pointed at his head. Written on the photo were the words, “You gotta go, buddy.” As for A-Rod, he had no comment, perhaps smarting over his team’s painful 10-3 loss to the Texas Rangers.
The suspect’s vendetta did not end with A-Rod, either. He also told police, according to a New York Criminal Lawyer, that he wanted to kill Bobby Brown, because Osama Bin Laden has a crush on his wife, Whitney Houston.
“He gave a rambling interview that he had an infatuation with Cameron Diaz,” sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. “He thought by going out and choking A-Rod, he’d be a hero to her.” The suspect had also recently changed his name to market a 700-page book he is attempting to sell. “I think it’s publicity for his book,” his mother told a New York Criminal Lawyer. “I’m sure he’s fine.”

Police Search for Serial Attacker in Queens

The New York Police Department is on the lookout for a dreadlocked man who they claim has assaulted three different women in two separate attacks, sources reported to a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The suspect’s first victim was a 25-year-old woman. He grabbed her from behind and pulled off her underwear before he was able to fight her off, police told a New York Criminal Lawyer. According to police, he choked the victim, reached up her dress and pulled off her underwear before she was able to fight him off.
The same suspect approached two other women four days later, 25 and 28 years old, as they walked home from a subway station. He pushed them into the backyard at Pershing Crescent and Manton St., sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The women fought against their attacker, who was wearing a brown leather jacket at the time. He attempted to grope them and take the underwear of one of the victims, according to police.
The suspect is described as being in his 20s, around six feet tall, and with a thin build. All three women sustained minor injuries from the attacks, like bruises and lacerations. Police have set up a hotline to catch the suspect, hopefully before he strikes again, New York Criminal Lawyers have learned.

City Correction Officer Claims Police Abuse

A city correction officer claims she was roughed up by police after witnessing a shootout involving cops, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. According to her, they forced open her door, attacked her, and held her for three hours.
The 44-year-old corrections officer said she opened her door to her East New York, Brooklyn apartment right after cops and a teenage shooter fired shots at each other in a stairwell one night. She opened the door, fearful for her 18-year-old daughter, who was supposed to be coming to the apartment, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. According to police, she was holding a gun at the time.
“Police smashed in my door,” said the corrections officer to a New York Criminal Lawyer. She said they also hurt her 13-year-old son. “They kicked my son and smashed my head off the table. They seized my gun and my badge and detained me for three hours.”
Just after the gunfire ended, the corrections officer opened the door. A 29-year-old police officier was wounded in the hallway from two bullet wounds in his right leg. Cops were attempting to apprehend the 17-year-old shooter on the floor above. He had been shot at least four times.
A deputy police commissioner said the corrections officer was disarmed “as a precaution”. The corrections officer and two teenage boys were handcuffed. “After the smoke settled and their identities were established, the handcuffs were removed.” They returned the correction officer’s gun and badge.
Police can make mistakes, just like anyone else. If you are the victim of one of those mistakes, a New York Criminal Attorney can bring it to light before you suffer unwarranted consequences. You can trust your future in the hands of a New York Criminal Attorney.

Computer Expert Pleads Guilty to Hacking Scam

A computer specialist in Arizona has pleaded guilty for his role in an Internet stock-fraud scheme, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. He has already been in prison for a similar charge.
The 41-year-old computer specialist admitted in federal court in Trenton that he misrepresented stock prices for thinly traded stocks between November 2007 and February 2009, promoting them through such means as spam and then taking over the brokerage accounts of third parties.
He also pleaded guilty in August 2009 for his part in a scheme lead by another man, this one from West Bloomfield, Michigan. Prosecutors labeled this man once as “the world’s most notorious illegal spammer.” The computer specialist was sentenced to a year in prison for that case and released in April 2010. His accomplice is currently serving a 51-month prison term.
“The conspirators may have updated the fraud with technology, but strip away the army of computers and this is a classic pump and dump scheme,” a U.S. Attorney told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The computer specialist pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit securities fraud and fraud in connection with electronic mail. He could go to prison for five years, according to New York Criminal Lawyers.
The scheme used hackers and a large number of computers, called a botnet, to spread computer viruses worldwide. Stocks would be inflated in value, then the hackers would break into brokerage accounts, liquidate stocks, and buy shares of the stocks they had manipulated.

Camera Captures View of Purse Snatcher

Cops have revealed images from a surveillance camera which shows a thief who tried to take a purse from a woman, but didn’t quite manage to do it, reports a New York Criminal Lawyer. The thief, or would-be thief, followed the 63-year-old woman into the elevator of a building on Surf Ave. in Coney Island, sometime in the afternoon of October 12, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
“You have money! Give me money!” the thief yelled as the elevator went up, cops told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The woman might have had some money in her purse, but the criminal never found it. According to the police, he took her purse and removed a black, zippered pouch. Once they both came out of the elevator, the crook saw there was no money in the pouch, but decided he had taken enough time and ran away.
The suspect was described as African-American, standing 5 feet, 8 inches in height. He was wearing jeans, a striped sweater, white sneakers, and a do-rag. The police have set up a hotline so that anyone with details can find the suspect before he makes another attempt.

The Situation Comes From a Difficult Background

Divorce papers from the parents of Mike “The Situation” Serrentino reveal terrible circumstances that may have impelled the transformation of young Mike into his famed muscle-bound TV persona, The Situation, a New York Criminal Lawyer has learned.
Both of the The Situation’s parents committed adultery, and both of them beat each other, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. Mike’s father once threatened to cut his mother “into pieces”. She told him she’d be just fine with going out to “find someone else to (have sex with),” according to newly revealed information.
“The Sorrentinos were the most dysfunctional family I ever met!” a family friend told a New York Criminal Lawyer. “Mike’s father had a bad temper and the mom had a sharp tongue. When they butted heads, they were explosive.” Mike, 29, is now a celebrity and is currently appearing on Dancing with the Stars. He has two brothers, 35 and 31 years of age, and a sister who is 23 years old.
His 56-year-old father and 54-year-old mother, split up in New Jersey in 2004 and their legal documents contain a number of terrible charges against each other. “(The father) has constantly, throughout the marriage, beaten and battered (his wife) to the point where she believed the beatings were a part of her life,” sources told a Westchester County Criminal Lawyer.
According to the husband, his wife once “broke his nose” when she hit him with the heel of her shoe. Sources say he often threatened to kill his wife, and once told his children that “he wanted to see the expression on their mother’s face when he stabbed her and cut her up into pieces.”

Lindsey Lohan Also Treated for E-Mail and Twitter Addiction

The Betty Ford Center is doing more than treating Lindsey Lohan for her drug addiction, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. She is also being treated for an apparent addiction to e-mail and Twitter.
Sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer that Lohan was “only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends.” The source continued. “Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively e-mail her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter.” Limiting phone privileges is common practice at Betty Ford. According a source, it “allows her to concentrate on herself.”
Sufolk County Criminal Lawyers have learned Lindsay’s mother is getting some help of her own from the mother of Kim Kardashian. According to a source, “[Kardashian’s mother] has been offering support and had [Lohan’s mother] stay with her in L.A. when Lindsay appeared in court. Kim has also struck up a friendship with Lindsay, and because Kim doesn’t party, doesn’t touch drugs, and doesn’t really drink, they hope she’ll be a good influence.”
There are certainly perks to being a celebrity, but when it comes to run-ins with the law, the public exposure can make matters much more difficult. They need more than the run of the mill defense should the time come to face a judge or jury in criminal proceedings.
The same goes for anyone – you’ll want more than the standard defense, which means a New York Criminal Attorney. Your future could depend upon the quality of your representation, which is why someone as skilled as a New York Criminal Lawyer is so important.

Killing of College Football Star by Cops Angers Many

A Pace University football player was killed by the police outside a Westchester bar – and his friends claim he was only trying to move his illegally parked car, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The father of a passenger in the football star’s car says the slain student thought he was only being asked to move his car when an officer knocked in the windshield. He was parked in a fire lane.
As the football player began to drive away “an officer jumped out from between cars and started firing, and the next thing [the young men] knew, [one cop] was on the hood,” the passenger’s father told a Staten Island Criminal Lawyer. The student “Yelled several times as they were pulling him out of the vehicle, screaming ‘They shot me! They shot me! They shot me!’”, the passenger’s father continued.
According to police, the officers fired on the car because the driver sped off, hitting two cops, after one of the officers tapped on the window of the vehicle. A Pleasantville officer, formerly of the NYPD, was thrown onto the hood of the football star’s moving car, police say. The cop fired at the driver, who swerved into another officer, who also started shooting.
“I can’t describe or answer to you why the driver did what he did,” said the Mount Pleasant police chief. The young man’s father says “a lot of witnesses” disagree with the police account. He vowed to find out what really happened.
Every story has two sides. If you are the subject of a criminal investigation, you need a representative like a New York Criminal Lawyer to make sure your side is heard. A New York Criminal Attorney can do a lot to see that justice is done and you are treated fairly

Investigator Found Dead in Casino Garage

A high-ranking Department of Investigation officer was found dead of a gunshot wound in his car in an Atlantic City casino parking lot, having apparently taken his own life, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. He had been reported missing by New York City police only hours before.
The 50-year-old investigator was the DOI’s inspector general, who’s job it was to look into operations of the city’s Health Department and Medical Examiner’s office.
A spokeswoman for the DOI did not confirm the identity of the dead investigator found in Atlantic City, but she did say to a New York Criminal Lawyer, “We are shocked and devastated at the loss of a wonderful colleague. This is a tragic and personal matter.”
The investigator was currently residing in Brooklyn, and had been reported missing by his family, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The NYPD asked Atlantic City police to look for the investigator and described him as endangered or missing. They were also told to use caution, because the investigator carried a gun as part of his job with the DOI.
Two hours later, the Atlantic City police force were told by a security advisor at a casino that the investigator had been found dead in a tan Honda parked on the seventh level of the casino’s parking garage.
A handgun was found on the passenger side of the car, along with a bag, police told a Queens Criminal Lawyer. It is unknown why the investigator would take his own life.

Man Stabs Two with Dagger Before Being Shot by Cops

A man wielding a dagger was shot to death in Harlem by an NYPD cop, after stabbing two men --- killing a neighbor who tried to help the first victim, police told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The 21-year-old knifeman stabbed his mother’s boyfriend and fatally stabbed a neighbor who tried to help before cops could arrive, police sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
Seven NYPD officers happened to be near enough to respond to the 911 call, as they returned from a community meeting and were met outside by the first victim, a 50-year-old man, who was bleeding from three stab wounds. One officer attended to the victim while the other officers, joined by two others went up the stairs to confront the knifeman. The man with the knife charged the police.
“He keeps coming. He is closing the distance between the lead officer and himself, coming at the officers with the dagger,” a deputy police commissioner said to a New York Criminal Lawyer. “The lead officer yells three times: ‘Drop the knife!’ He does not and continues to come… and the [lead] officer fires.”
The lead officer fired at least five shots and shot the knifeman three times in the torso and once in the left shoulder. Even then, the knifeman attempted to stab the cops from the floor. One of them had to kick the dagger out of his hand. He died at the scene.

Cop Says He Never Pulled Gun on Biker

An off-duty police officer has been accused of pulling his gun on a biker in a road-rage incident, a New York Criminal Lawyer reports. The cop, on the other hand, says he was merely taking out his ID – not a weapon.
The officer denies he ever drew his weapon in the heated Greenwich Village confrontation, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. Nonetheless, the 29-year-old cop from the 28th Precinct has been played on modified assignment, at least until the details of the incident are better known.
The biker, a 36-year-old salesman from the lower East Side, the cop aimed a gun at his face after the officer almost hit his bike on Bleecker Street. A police source who knew something about the incident told a New York Criminal Lawyer that the cop only identified himself as a police officer. Another source says the officer only pulled out his department ID card and never displayed his gun to the biker.

Two More Charged in Anti-Gay Incident

Another two men have been charged in the Bronx gang attack police believe began when gang members suspected one of their recruits was gay, police sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The two new defendants did not enter pleas when they appeared in Bronx Criminal Court, according to a New York Criminal Lawyer.
Police told a New York Criminal Lawyer that the members of the gang used some anti-gay slurs to ask two teen-aged boys and a 30-year-old man about their sexuality. Then, they beat and tortured them in a working-class Bronx neighborhood.
The first new defendant has been charged with robbery, gang assault, and unlawful imprisonment as hate crimes, prosecutors told a Manhattan Criminal Lawyer. He is being held on $25,000 bond or cash bail. According to his attorney, he is innocent of the charges.
The second new defendant is up against charges of gang assault, sexual abuse, and unlawful imprisonment as hate crimes. No bail was set for him. His attorney was not available for comment. The second new defendant is the 10th suspect in the case. He surrendered to the police. The other new defendant was arrested by police the day before.
The Bronx beatings are seen as many by just the latest in a string of anti-gay actions and teen suicides attributed to homophobic bullying. Government leaders and advocates for gay rights have condemned these actions and some are calling for legislative action to prevent further homophobic behavior.
No one wants to face a criminal jury, whether guilty or innocent. You don’t have to face it alone, however, especially when a New York Criminal Attorney is standing by to assist. A New York Criminal Attorney is your best resource when the time comes to go to court.

Bartender at Julius Bar Attacked by Gay Bashers

Yet another attack on gays has happened in New York, this time against a bartender in the city’s oldest gay bar, a New York Criminal Lawyer reported. A 45-year-old man is charged with beating up two other men on October 11, authorities told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The suspect made his first attack inside Ty’s Bar, taking his wallet and cutting his face when he punched him, authorities told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The 31-year-old victim needed medical attention, including stitches after the attack.
Around ten minutes later, the suspect arrived at Julius Bar, the city’s oldest gay bar, and argued with the bartender after being refused service. “What are you going to do, you f----- n-----,” he was said to yell at the 26-year-old bartender while hitting him in the face. “You are a f----- f----.”
The suspect was arrested and charged with felony assault as a hate crime, as well as attempted robbery. The Hate Crimes Unit for the Manhattan district attorney’s office is in charge of the prosecution.
Earlier in the moth, two men from Staten Island were charged with assault for beating a man while screaming anti-gay slurs in a bathroom at the Stonewall Inn, one of the most famous gay bars in the country. “It is unacceptable that perpetrators of anti-LGBTQ violence feel emboldened to come into any neighborhood, including gay-friendly neighborhoods, and attack LGBTQ people because of who we are,” said the executive director of a gay and transgender rights group.
Everyone has the right to representation and a fair trial, no matter what their crime. It is in the best interests of the accused to have superb representation, like a Long Island Criminal Lawyer. Justice should be done, including not being punished too harshly. A New York Criminal Attorney can provide that justice.

Abduction Suspect Found After More Than 25 Years

A Nevada woman, formerly of New Jersey, was arrested on suspicion of abducting her daughter during a custody dispute more than 25 years ago, authorities told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The 57-year-old woman of Incline Village, Nevada, was arrested in October 2010, according to a New York Criminal Lawyer. She is accused of leaving a courthouse in Somerville, New Jersey, with her 6-year-old daughter, during a custody hearing on August 23, 1984.
During the hearing, the girl’s father had full custody of the child, New Jersey prosecutors told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The mother failed to appear for an arraignment on charges of interference with custody and a warrant was issued for her arrest on June 28, 1985.
There was no real break in the case until the daughter, now 32 years of age, attempted to change her name in order to obtain a marriage license. A background check revealed the daughter’s name in a list of missing children.
When the authorities came, the mother eventually admitted her true identity. As for the daughter, she apparently did not even know she had been abducted or that her mother was wanted by the police, sources told a Brooklyn Criminal Lawyer. It is not known why the daughter was attempting to change her name, either. New Jersey prosecutors will extradite the mother from Nevada. She was held at a county detention facility in Nevada on a no-bail warrant until the extradition is executed.
Your case before the court, whatever it may be, hinges upon your representation. Choose the best. Choose a New York Criminal Attorney. Your future depends upon who you have with you in your legal fight. Nothing less than a New York Criminal Attorney will do.

Photos Revealed of Toddler Duct-Taped by Mother

Nebraska prosecutors have revealed photos of a teenage mother and her boyfriend duct-taping her 2-year-old son to a wall. The pair has already been convicted for the incident, according to New York Criminal Lawyers. They claim to have done it all for fun.
The child was temporarily removed from his mother’s custody, but is now living with his mother again. The mother, 18, has admitted to using drugs.
The mother, 17 at the time of the abuse, was given 10 days in jail and two years of probation. Her 19-year-old boyfriend, an ex-convict, was given a stiffer sentence – three to five years for child abuse and another 12 to 24 months for felony possession of stolen firearms. While under the influence of drugs, the mother held the child down so her boyfriend could tape his body to the wall with bright green duct tape, authorities told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
Some of the pictures show the boy’s wrists tape to the wall behind his back and above his shoulders as he struggles to escape. Another shows the mother posing with her son, whose hands have been wrapped in tape. Yet another photograph shows the boy’s sippy cup taped to a wall out of his reach. He is crying as he struggles to reach it.
The boy has been allowed to return to his mother, but state health officials are keeping track of the home, a county attorney told a New York Criminal Lawyer. Prosecutors are investigating to see if the mother should retain custody.
Everyone deserves a fair trial, which is why a New York Criminal Attorney is so important. Your case is too important to trust to anyone less than a New York Criminal Attorney

Charges Against Boyfriend of Anna Nicole Smith Dismissed

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has dismissed two charges against the boyfriend of the late model and actress Anna Nicole Smith. He left the other charges, however, to be decided by a jury, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The judge dismissed two counts of obtaining an opiate by fraud against the boyfriend, a court spokesman told a New York Criminal Lawyer. Smith’s boyfriend was also her lawyer. While those charges were dismissed, he still faces nine counts related to allegedly supplying Smith with powerful drugs.
The judge issued these rulings in the criminal trial of the boyfriend and two doctors connected with Smith. They are accused of providing her with large quantities of drugs and drug possession. Prosecutors say she was addicted to pain medication. Smith died of an accidental drug overdose in February 2007, in Hollywood, Florida.
The boyfriend and both doctors have all pleaded not guilty. New York Criminal Lawyers have learned the judge has also “narrowed the scope” of a conspiracy charge related to the boyfriend and one of the doctors. Prosecutors have already rested their case against the three defendants, sources tell New York Criminal Lawyers.
The judge appears to have some skepticism toward the prosecution’s case in the trial, which began in early August. The defense has no witnesses to speak in their behalf. Closing arguments have already been issued, sources tell New York Criminal Lawyers, and more details should be forthcoming very soon.
Your best resource in a criminal case is a New York Criminal Attorney. You don’t have to worry about your representation when you have a New York Criminal Attorney on your side, because you will have the best.

Facebook and Other Popular Sites Used for Fraud

US prosecutors told a New York Criminal Lawyer that Facebook, Twitter, and other websites have been used to promote certain stocks in the fraud technique known as “pump and dump”. This fraud of about $7 million was discovered by authorities during a cocaine-trafficking probe.
The fraud was uncovered in a two-year probe to find suspected drug trafficking by longshoremen and others, sources told New York Criminal Lawyers. These drugs were coming in through the Port of New York and New Jersey.
New York Criminal Lawyers learned from the Manhattan US Attorney’s office that 11 out of 22 people charged used more than 15 websites, Twitter feeds, and Facebook pages to defraud those interested in investing into buying stocks that were then manipulated by others participating in the fraudulent activity.
Twitter and Facebook declined to comment on the matter to authorities or to New York Criminal Lawyers. Any statement they have on the matter may come out as the trial commences.
New York Criminal Lawyers have discovered documents filed in the Manhattan federal court stating the 11 were from New York, Florida, and Pennsylvania. They are suspected of creating website links that promoted picks in four penny stocks stated to be based upon the author’s expertise and independent research.
Court documents did not identify any of these stocks and New York Criminal Lawyers have been unable to uncover the exact details so far. If convicted, the individuals charged with fraudulent activity could go to prison for up to 20 years.
Representation in court is your right, and when it comes to representation, you want the best. A New York Criminal Lawyer is just what anyone needs when the time comes for a trial. Your side of the story must be told and there is no one better to tell.

Court Date Set in Vince Neil DUI Case

A Las Vegas judge has set the court date for Vince Neil for the charges of misdemeanor drunken driving and speeding charges, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The Motley Crue singer’s attorneys appeared for him in court and now plea was entered, according to a New York Criminal Lawyer. The judge overseeing the case set the date of October 11 for a status check, a court clerk told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The 49-year-old Neil allegedly had a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent, which is the Nevada legal limit for drivers. Evidence also alleges Neil was driving his Lamborghini sports car at 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, when he was pulled over on June 27 not far from the Vegas Strip.
Misdemeanors and other minor crimes still need a New York Criminal Lawyer to prevent a small case from becoming something much larger and out of control. Representation is just so important when the time comes to stand before a judge or even to talk to police. There are just too many legal traps to fall into or too many ways for an honest mistake or a misspoken word to turn what should have been a simple fine or even an overturned case into an issue that could take years and a great deal of money to resolve. All that could easily be avoided with the counsel of a New York Criminal Lawyer.
You certainly don’t want your case to become more than it needs to be. Let a New York Criminal Attorney take control of matters. When you need to be represented in court, let your representative be a New York Criminal Attorney.

Manhattan Cyclist Claims Cop Pulled Gun on Him

Police are now investigating the allegations of a Manhattan bicyclist who claims an off-duty NYPD officer pointed a gun at him during a traffic altercation. The 36-year-old bicyclist and his attorney told a New York Criminal Lawyer that the bicyclist was questioned about the incident.
“The matter is being investigated,” an NYPD deputy commissioner told a New York Criminal Lawyer. He did not provide any further details at that time. The bicyclist, a salesman from the Lower East Side claims he was riding through Greenwich Village late one Saturday night when the cop’s black Volkswagen GTI came close to side-swiping him.
The bicyclist says he tipped on the driver’s side window to alert the driver he was there, but the driver continued to squeeze him off in traffic. So, the bicyclist dismounted and approached the car. “As he rolled his window down, he points a gun at my face,” the bicyclist said. “No words were exchanged. I was just too stunned.”
He said he followed on his bike as he called 911. The operator told him to go back to the scene of the incident and wait for cops to arrive. As he rode home, he saw the car parked near marked NYPD cars.“They surround the car with their guns drawn and he rolls down the window and must have shown them his badge because they all lower their weapons,” he told a NYC Criminal Lawyer.
It is a traumatic experience to be accused of a crime. You’ll need a New York Criminal Attorney in your corner to help you resolve your case. The best representation you can find is a New York Criminal Attorney.

Four Found Guilty of Bombing Plot

Four men were caught in an FBI sting and convicted of planning to bomb a Bronx synagogue and shoot down military planes with heat-seeking surface-to-air missiles, reports a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The four men, all of Newburgh, New York, were arrested in May 2009 in Riverdale. They planted what they thought were real bombs – fakes provided by an undercover FBI informant. They face life in prison for a number of charges. The sentencing is not set to begin until March.
Their defense argued they were mere patsies who were entrapped by the FBI into a plot they would never have thought of on their own. They are planning to appeal. “We will fight again. We’re not done yet,” said one attorney to a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The jury deliberated for eight days before coming to a decision. “This was a miscarriage of justice – just like this whole investigation and trial,” another attorney said to a New York Criminal Lawyer. The four men were led to believe they would blow up a synagogue and Jewish center in the Bronx, and shoot military planes out of the sky.
Prosecutors countered defense claims of entrapment by displaying a disarmed Stinger missile and reminding the jurors that the men not only believed it was armed, but they were prepared to use it. “The defendants in this case agreed to plant bombs and use missiles they thought were very real weapons of terrorism. We are safer today as a result of these convictions,” a Manhattan U.S. Attorney told a NY Criminal Lawyer.

Dying Girl Cyberbullied by 33-Year-Old Neighbor

A 7-year-old girl who has already lost her mother to Huntington’s Disease faces the disease herself. It will soon take her life, as well. Those facts are not enough to stop the girl’s 33-year-old neighbor from launching a cyberbullying assault on the little girl.
The woman admitted to posting a macabre picture of the girl on her Facebook page – a photograph of the little girl with her eyes closed and tongue hanging out, with a pair of crossed bones underneath. She also admitted to posting a Photoshopped image of the girl’s mother in the arms of the Grim Reaper. The neighbor’s reason? “Personal satisfaction,” she told a New York Criminal Lawyer. “Because it rubs their a-s raw.”
“Cyberbullying gives people the opportunity to be more aggressive than they would allow themselves to be in person,” a clinical psychologist told a New York Criminal Lawyer. “There is a weaker sense of personal responsibility. You don’t have to confront someone directly.” Police told a New York Criminal Lawyer that the two families had been feuding for years, though no one was clear on what the source of the feuding was.
The family of the girl has gotten a restraining order against the neighbor’s family and the neighborhood is firmly on the side of the child. A Facebook group devoted to her has almost 4,000 members. A toy store in Ann Arbor raised $9,000 for a shopping spree, New York Criminal Lawyers have learned.
There are some crimes that are difficult to defend, but that doesn’t matter. Everyone has a right to defense, and that defense should be the best possible, like a New York Criminal Attorney. When you have a New York Criminal Attorney working in your behalf, you can be assured your side of the story will be heard.

Corporate Crime on the Rise

An FBI official has reported to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee about the “massive” frauds the law enforcement agency has uncovered while attempting to combat financial crimes, sources tell a New York Criminal Lawyer.
An assistant director told the committee “the FBI has continued to uncover massive frauds, including newly identified Ponzi schemes.” He also told New York Criminal Lawyers that new fraud cases had increased by 111 percent and high-yield securities frauds have rise by more than 200 percent.
New York Criminal Lawyers have learned of a number of major fraud cases, this year alone. In June, a $1.9 billion fraud caused the sixth-largest bank failure in the country. In July, a managing partner at a major firm pleaded guilty to taking part in a $700 million scheme that took money from charities, university foundations, pensions, and retirement plans. In September, the owner of an investment firm pleaded guilty to a $880 million Ponzi scheme involving his own firm.
“In the last three years alone, the FBI has seen the number of mortgage fraud cases steadily climb from 1,200 in 2007 to over 3,00 in 2010,” said the FBI assistant director. “Nearly 70 percent of these pending cases represent losses to financial institutions and other victims exceeding $1 million. In many of these cases, the loss far exceeds $1 million.”
This new surge of activity to take down mortgage fraud schemes across the country is called Operation Stolen Dreams, and is an initiative organized by President Obama’s interagency Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force.
A criminal trial is a traumatic affair, especially for the accused. Reduce the trauma by hiring a New York Criminal Attorney. Even if your case seems hopeless, a New York Criminal Attorney can salvage something good out of the process.

Politician Charged with DUI

We elect them in part for their judgment and because we trust them. We give them our tax money and entrust them to make decisions that will impact our communities for decades to come. Which is why it is all the more shameful that a politician was arrested for driving under the influence, said a New York Criminal Lawyer. A field sobriety test revealed that the man had a blood alcohol content of nearly three times the legal limit - 0.21.

The man told police that he went to a hospital because he had pain in his ribs. There, the staff indicated that the man left their custody while under the influence of alcohol, noted a New York Criminal Lawyer. He refused their treatment and went out into the night, all alone, ready to get behind the wheel, indicated a New York Criminal Lawyer. A hospital employee called the police to let them know the politician was driving, drinking, and a danger to the world.

Local officials are trying to determine if the man's conduct violates their code of ethics, reports a New York Criminal Lawyer. If it does they would be able to remove him from office. If not, what does it take? If a politician can drive drunk and remain in office, what else can he do? The man faces a $1000 fine and up to a year in jail. He could, in theory, go to jail for a year and still remain a councilman. The politician had no comment.

If you find yourself facing DUI charges you should immediately contact a New York Criminal Attorney.

Rapper T.I. Avoids Drug Charges

Famed rapper T.I. has had a recent string of bad news but a Los Angeles area prosecutor decided to cut the artist a break. Earlier this year T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was arrested by authorities. The arrest was for possession of drugs and took place after a routine traffic stop, said a New York Criminal Lawyer. A day after the arrest T.I. failed a drug test. The arrest and drug test failure resulted in the rapping icon violating his parole. As a result, Clifford "T.I." Harris was ordered back to prison where he will serve the remainder of his 11 month sentence, reports a New York Criminal Lawyer.

Prosecutors had the option of charging T.I. with the offense, trying him, and then having him serve the time after his Atlanta-based jail time was finished. However, they used their prosecutorial discretion and dropped the charges, notes a New York Criminal Lawyer. It is a silver of a silver lining on an otherwise quite dark cloud, for T.I. Not so lucky may be the woman accompanying T.I. at the time of the arrest. Prosecutors have not decided whether they will charge her with drug possession.

T.I. was out on parole for a weapons based offense. The rapper had attempted to illegally purchase several high powered machine guns in Atlanta, said a New York Criminal Lawyer. He briefly served jail time but was to spent the rest of his time in public service, mentoring the youth of the community, advising them of how they could avoid a similar fate.

Drug and weapon based offenses are serious matters and often require intense legal maneuvering. If you find yourself in a situation similar to T.I. immediately contact a New York Based Criminal Attorney.

Cop Acquitted of Assault Charges Against Judge Girlfriend

Though whatever occurred between a police officer and his judge girlfriend resulted in her sustaining a cut on her scalp and multiple scrapes and bruises, it did not amount to assault, according to a Philadelphia Common Pleas Court jury.
It took five hours of deliberations over two days for the jury – composed of eight women and four men – to acquit the 49-year-old officer of both aggravated and simple assault charges, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. The officer was found guilty, however, of violating Pennsylvania’s wiretap statute. He recorded a number of the judge’s angry calls to him three days after their fight without her consent or knowledge.
Three days after the altercation, the officer had already been suspended from his job as a narcotics detective. His defense attorney told a New York Criminal Lawyer that the recordings had been an attempt for the officer to defend himself against his bosses, because he feared his side of the story would not have been believed otherwise.
The verdict will likely not result in jail time, but could result on job loss. The officer had no comment as he left the hearing. The officer’s attorney told a New York Criminal Lawyer that the officer would fight to get his job back and file a civil lawsuit against the 48-year-old judge, alleging that she charged her boyfriend of four years falsely. The judge had already retired from her position in 2001, after complaints from lawyers about her courtroom behavior and management.
Criminal accusation, especially for a crime you did not commit, is a traumatic affair. Let a New York Criminal Attorney help you when the time comes to visit court. Whatever comes next could shape your life for years to come – gain some security by having a New York Criminal Attorney at your side.

Accused Murderer Faces Kin of the Slain

It has been twenty-two years since the grandmother in this case found her daughter-in-law and granddaughter raped and strangled in bed. She has recently called on their accused killer to “finally face a jury like a man” – he has caused yet another delay in court, sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer.
The 47-year-old suspect fired yet another defense lawyer, which caused the grandmother to make her statement. It is her belief that he is trying to postpone his trial in Bronx Criminal Court as much as possible.
“He’s playing games with the court,” said the 68-year-old woman, who is retired, but was once Liza Minelli’s personal assistant. “He’s already fired at least two attorneys in one year. The longer he keeps this up, the longer he avoids a real jail sentence.” The suspect is not only in trouble for rape and murder, but also faces drug charges, as well. He is currently being held on Rikers Island.
“If he wasn’t at Rikers, he’d be dead and I’d take his place in there,” said the grandmother to a New York Criminal Lawyer. The suspect, according to prosecutors, sodomized and strangled his 26-year-old girlfriend and her 9-year-old daughter in the grandmother’s apartment in February 1988.
The grandmother had no idea her daughter-in-law had been dating the suspect and returned home to find them both dead and tied up with their underwear pulled down. DNA evidence led to the suspect’s arrest for the murders twenty years later, but the statue of limitations had already passed for the sex crimes.
Everyone, no matter what the accusation, deserves a fair trial. A New York Criminal Attorney is ready to ensure all sides of the story are heard. You need proper representation in court, and a New York Criminal Lawyer can provide it.

OJ Simpson Goes to Jail

OJ Simpson is going to jail for a long long time. After one appeal after another Simpson's case was finally heard by the Nevada Supreme Court, said a New York Criminal Lawyer. The court affirmed the lower court ruling finding Simpson guilty. Simpson was charged with conspiracy to commit a number of crimes, including: robbery, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon, and multiple counts of first degree kidnapping. Conspiracy is a unique crime in that one need not actually commit the crime in order to be found guilty, notes a New York Criminal Lawyer. Rather, all that need be proven is that a person agreed with another person to commit a crime and then that one of those people took an action in furtherance of the crime. A jury found that Simpson had done so and he was convicted of conspiracy.

Simpson is most famous from his days as a star football player, famous actor, and of course from his mid-90s murder trial. Simpson was found not guilty at the time, a decision was raised the ire of many. The trial itself spawn much of today's modern "court TV" as well and is considered a major moment in the 20th Century of the United States. At the time Simpson vowed to find the real killers. He then mostly played golf.

One of Simpson's co-conspirators had his conviction reversed and a new trial has been ordered for the man, noted a New York Criminal Lawyer.

Simpson claimed that all he was doing was trying to retrieve his property, including family photos and heirlooms, said a New York Criminal Lawyer. Simpson's attorney attempted to claim that the conviction was payback for Simpson's prior not-guilty. The Supreme Court did not agree.

Murder, conspiracy, and burglary are serious crimes and require the aid of an experienced attorney. If you've been charged with these or any other crime you should contact a New York Criminal Attorney.
