Some New York Criminal Lawyers Report That Michael Jackson’s Lawyer Has a Big Job

Michael Jackson is, was and always will be a pop icon. He is one of those people who will forever live as a legend and most people will remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. Apparently his life wasn’t all roses and amusements parks. The news quickly spread of how he was addicted to medications that would induce sleep as he apparently suffered bouts of serious insomnia. And, although he was preparing for a new tour, his health has been deteriorating for years. And, with that, he sought medical intervention just to get some rest.

That said, his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was not only present when Michael Jackson died, he apparently provided CPR for quite some time. And, even that has been suspect since the person calling 911 told the operator that Mr. Jackson was on the bed during the CPR. With all the talk of medications being injected, other medications being purchased under aliases and then the very idea that a medical doctor would allow such to continue regardless of the status of the super star, the general public along with his family found it completely and utterly upsetting to think that Dr. Murray was actually responsible for the death of one of the worlds biggest pop stars. Dr. Murray is definitely going to need help from a New York Criminal Lawyer like those at Steve Bilkis and Associates.

Dr. Murray was making arrangements to turn himself in to the authorities but no agreement regarding the specifics had been reported. Ed Chernoff worked with the Dr. Murray and the District of Attorney’s office regarding Dr. Murray’s whereabouts. The charges, regardless of the severity, are definitely going to make this a high profile criminal case and one which will require a New York Criminal Lawyer.

Dr. Murray has maintained that nothing he gave Michael Jackson should have killed him. However, he was being arraigned but the actual charges were not disclosed. Rumor from various law enforcement officials imply that Dr. Murray will be charged with involuntary manslaughter. These charges were based on probably cause that he administered anesthetics that led to the June 25, 2009 overdose of Michael Jackson.

A Man Was Shot For Attempting to Save the Life of His Son says a Long Island Criminal Lawyer

Regardless of where justice comes from, the heart, heaven or the criminal justice system, sometimes believing that justice will be served is the best way to cope with the loss of a loved one. A mother of two boys, a seventeen-year-old and a seven-year-old, discussed how her husband was shot while their oldest son watched. She believes the criminals shot the man after he refused to lie down on the ground. His wife believes he did this in order to prevent the murder of both he and his seventeen-year-old son

Apparently the would-be robbers approached the father and son demanding that both men lie down on the ground. The seventeen-year-old did as he was told but his father remained standing. His widow believed he did this thinking that if they both were lying down the men in possession of a weapon and demanding money would just shoot both of them and that by not lying down he was at least saving the life of his own son. The man & his wife had been married nineteen years.

Two men have been charged with the death of the landscaper who came to the United States from El Salvador fifteen years ago. Another suspect is also being sought at. The alleged gunman pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and first-degree attempted robbery. This criminal said he shot the man because he would not lie down. He was being held without bail and ordered to return to court next month. Another suspect, an eighteen-year-old, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. This suspect was found with a bullet in his pocket that matched the one that killed the El Salvadorian father.

Security video in a nearby delicatessen was seized by authorities confirmed the details of the shooting. As it was, the victim was shot in front of his son and possibly in order to save his life although he had no money to give the would-be robbers.

Mentally Challenged Young Adults At Risk and the Case Might Require a Nassau County Criminal Lawyer

When children are the victims of a crime, the general public is usually quick to react. When older children who suffer from mental challenges are the victims, sometimes the information is unclear and difficult to understand. And, what makes this situation even more difficult to understand is these young adults were in the care of people who had been convicted of a crime previously.

One 22-year-old male patient in a psychiatric center claims a worker molested him. The worker had disclosed on his application that he was an ex-convict but didn’t say that he had been convicted of a sex crime. And from all available information, this particular hospital never bothered to investigate to see exactly what the man had been convicted of prior to applying for and obtaining employment in this hospital.

Since the district attorney’s office has made the decision that this is not a prosecutable case, the victims could look for a Nassau County Criminal Lawyer from The Law Office of Steven Bilkis and Associates. These young adults are already experiencing difficulties with the general every day situations of life, and they are also easy targets for criminals.

According to a spokesperson for the hospital, the potential employee was questioned about the situation regarding his conviction but did not reveal any information about a sexual crime and the hospital did not then investigate further. The potential employee became an employee even though he had been convicted of lewd assault and battery of an underage male. This criminal act seems irreprehensible and the hospital even goes so far as to say that they are not required to verify the information of a potential employee even if it reveals potential problems.

Just call 1-800-NYNY-Law for a free consultation with a Nassau County Criminal Lawyer.

Principal Accused of Being Drunk While On The Job and Should Consult a New York Criminal Lawyer

If you are a regular television viewer you see businessmen and women taking extended lunch breaks and returning to their office after a few drinks. And, depending on the show, you see the actors pull the alcohol from a wet bar they have in one corner of their lavishly decorated upscale office. However, the reality is if you partake of alcohol while on the job, you are going to find yourself without a job at all. If you find yourself in a situation where you’ve been accused of partaking of substances that your job prohibits, you may need a New York Criminal Lawyer to help regain your position and your reputation.

And, if your job is one as an educator or administrator in a local school system then you know the repercussions of returning to school anywhere with even the slightest hint of alcohol on your breath. If you find yourself accused of behavior unbecoming of your profession and you are definitely not at fault, The Law Office of Steven Bilkis and Associates and our New York Criminal Lawyers can help. Reality also brings us to the fact that people aren’t always truthful and in various events that someone is attempting to get rid of an employee or possibly a student-teacher relationship has gone sour, you might find students or parents quick to accuse and often times without cause.

One victim in Brooklyn was a principal who was accused of being drunk by an anonymous source. When this principal was facing the closing of his school and re-assignment due to poor performance, allegations from months ago surfaced. The school system states emphatically that there is no relation between the closing of the school and the accusations. Students and parents alike are adamant that they have never seen behavior in their principal that was inappropriate and most were disappointed to even hear such allegations had been made. When situations arrive like this one, after 24 years of service accusations ring loud and an attorney can help you find a way to make sure that you are represented to the fullest extent.

Mother Over-Doses 8-Year-Old With Ground-Up Prescription Medication States a Suffolk County Criminal Lawyer

A deranged woman, a distraught father and ex-husband and an extremely confused grandmother all try to make out the details behind the supposed murder of an eight-year-old boy. They could use a Suffolk County Criminal Lawyer. The father, who lives across the country, said he thought that the grandmother of the child had identified the little boys body. However, he learned after 48 hours that the little boy’s body remained in the medical examiner’s office without a proper identification. The mother is suspected of the crime in which the child was apparently fed ground up prescription medication.

The mother, who is now in a psyche ward, had emailed a relative indicating that there was a problem. The police burst into the home only to find an incoherent mother babbling. And, the mother also left a suicide note suggesting that more information could be found on the computer. Obviously the crime lab has the computer and will be examining it for further information. Drug Possession was not an issue here.

The Law Firm of Steven Bilkis and Associates with its Suffolk County Criminal Lawyer could help a young father determine what and why his ex-wife would commit such a horrible crime. The autopsy was inconclusive and the child’s father who was distraught said the woman was a good mother and he couldn’t imagine why she would do such a thing. The father was also decidedly upset that his son was left unidentified when obviously relatives much closer to the family could have made the identification. He was planning to make the trek across the country to identify the little boy and hopefully gets some answers while planning a burial.

With 28 Prior Arrests, White Could Have Used the Help of a New York Criminal Lawyer

This particular problem started with a simple accident. A drink was spilled and from there, gun-wielding ex-cons, bouncers and plain-clothes police were ruling the Norwood Palace Sports Bar in Cypress Hills. The deejay said it had been a great party until about 3 AM and he saw the man spill a drink. He immediately went back into the deejay booth and listened as shots were fired. It’s hard to imagine that a spilled drink could lead to such chaos and recklessness but if you or someone you know is in a situation where you need a New York Criminal Lawyer, Stephen Bilkis and Associates specialize in the criminal field and can help you.
Kevin White whose family claims he was once a bodyguard for Mariah Carey and P.Diddy say he was only doing his job. However, he was seen on surveillance video firing a gun inside the crowded bar. Once the bar was full of chaos, a nineteen-year-old Donovan Wilson shot a security guard who was fortunately wearing a bulletproof vest and wasn’t seriously injured. Once NYPD burst in the door, they encountered Wilson waving a .25-caliber handgun.
Once Wilson engaged officers by pointing a gun at them, the officers opened fired. He was hit in the chest, elbow and leg. In the meantime, other officers were busily cuffing Wilson. But, the night wasn’t coming to an end this easy.
Partygoers stranded inside the bar say that people were throwing wooden barstools at one another and at least one more gun was brandished. The video cameras verify that White had fired several shots and when the cop approached him, he turned the gun to them. The officers demanded that he to put the gun down. More shots were fired during this time and this is apparently when the bouncer was hit. Once a mild calmness returned, White was found with a .357 magnum in his hand and a semiautomatic handgun was found nearby. Possession of a weapon was on the docket in this situation.
White died later at the hospital. White’s brother said that he had taken the gun from another partygoer and was trying to do the right thing.

Man Accused of Taking Advantage with Fake Consulting Firm and Needs a Long Island Criminal Lawyer

The general consensus is and always has been that a criminal act simply does not pay. And, regardless of one man’s public service for over thirty years, the injustice he is charged with is difficult to understand. His attorney asked the judge to offer leniency by taking into consideration the letters of over three hundred people who were in support of the assemblyman. The criminal act committed by the man is vague but apparently he had collected approximately one million dollars in consulting fees and in his own words, he had taken the money for “doing nothing”.

However, the judge stated that even after reading the letters, the man’s guilt was even more obvious. The judge said that the man was still refusing to admit the extent of his guilt. Moreover, 15,000 phone calls had been intercepted and these conversations alone were enough to show the bogus consulting firm that this man was operating. The crime resulted in what the man indicated was “nothing”, but in reality, his behavior had resulted in the shake down of a hospital, a college and a lobbying organization. Again, the wiretaps revealed the man admitting “we don’t have to do nothing”, however, he managed to take down organizations and profit a million dollars.

El Salvador Man Shot says a New York Criminal Lawyer

Regardless of where justice comes from, the heart, heaven or the criminal justice system, sometimes believing that justice will be served is the best way to cope with the loss of a loved one. A mother of two boys, a seventeen-year-old and a seven-year-old, discussed how her husband was shot in front of their oldest son and she believes the criminal act was the result of her husband allowing the gunman to shoot him in order to save their son.

Apparently the would-be robbers approached the father and son demanding that they lie down on the ground. The seventeen-year-old did as he was told but his father remained standing. His widow believed he did this thinking that if they both were lying down the men wielding guns and demanding money would just shoot both of them and that by not lying down he was at least saving the life of his own son.

Two men have been charged with the death of the landscaper who came to the United States from El Salvador fifteen years ago. The two had been married nineteen years. Another suspect is also being sought at. The alleged gunman pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and first-degree attempted robbery. He said he shot the man because he would not lie down. He was being held without bail and ordered to return to court next month. Another suspect, an eighteen-year-old pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. This suspect was found with a bullet in his pocket that matched the one that killed the El Salvadorian father.

Security video in a nearby delicatessen was seized by authorities confirmed the details of the shooting. When such evidence is available for the New York Criminal Lawyers at Steven Bilkis and Associates, the entire situation is clear and often times makes the process a bit easier to understand. Call 1-800- NYNYLAW for a free consultation with a New York Criminal Lawyer. As it was, the victim was shot in front of his son and possibly in order to save his life but did not have any money to give the would-be robbers

Detective Loses His Job and Could Use a New York Criminal Lawyer

The thoughts of one woman trying to cause her husband, a veteran detective, to lose his job before he was killed by lacing his food with marijuana was determined to be untrue. The detective was fired and is now working as a security guard. His wife apparently smokes marijuana for back pain. However, this is one criminal act that just seems a bit odd and unclear.

The detective was found to have high levels of marijuana in his system based on hair samples. The union tried to argue that this was not an acceptable method of testing but the appeals court stated that the Commissioner was in charge of the situation and the choice of how to test the individual was non-negotiable. Situations like this are times when you will want to put your confidence in The Law Office of Steven Bilkis and Associates and its New York Criminal Lawyers. Just call 1-800-NYNY-Law for a free consultation with a New York Criminal Lawyer.

As it appears, this detective will not be getting his job back as the hair samples showed that the levels of marijuana in his system were not consistent with his food being laced with marijuana or the second hand smoke from his wife’s smoking the drug. The argument against the hair samples was in vain. The attorney for the detective said they are still seeking a way to get the decision over-turned so that the detective could return to work. The wife and the detective both seem to be in a particularly odd situation and one of them is obviously guilty of a criminal act.

19 Year Old Burns After Being Stabbed - says a New York Criminal Lawyer

At the brief age of 19, with high hopes of becoming an auto mechanic and following in the foot steps of his father, one young man lost his life in what very well may have been a case of simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This nineteen-year-old was found stabbed inside a house, which had burned. The situation is double sided in that apparently the young man was stabbed and then burned in the house to cover up the criminal act. One other individual found in the burned home showed signs of being tortured prior to burning in the house.

One of the accused men in this horrible criminal act pleaded not guilty last week to second-degree arson. Apparently although both men had been tortured and were attempting to flee the home before being overtaken by the fire. The other individual was charged with one count of first-degree murder, three counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree arson. He was ordered to be held without bail by a State Supreme Court Justice.

The mother of the nineteen year old said that her son had gone to the particular area to catch a ride to school and had no relationship with either of the suspects. The mother, distraught said she really couldn’t imagine her son causing anyone so much anger that they would do this to him. The Law Firm of Steven Bilkis and Associates and its New York Criminal Lawyers can handle cases of this nature and realize the importance of helping the families of vitims understand why something like this would happen is equally important.
