Two adults charged in a South Floral Park, NY shooting are facing criminal charges in Nassau County, NY. It seems they may need a New York Criminal Lawyer.

In August, a 23 year old man was shot at a park in South Floral Park near Tennessee Avenue and Marguerite Avenue. Nassau County Police did not release the name of the victim, but did state that he was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for gun wounds to his lower body. The shooters were recently apprehended in Brooklyn, NY. Derek Gaines, 28 year old who resides at 144-30 168th St. Jamaica NY, and Melissa Gaskin, a 23 year old who resides at 737 Westminster Rd Brooklyn NY, were sitting in a parked car on Avenue U in Brooklyn, NY when Fifth Squad Detectives found and arrested the pair. Reports indicate that the victim and Gaskin were involved in a verbal altercation when the fight started. Gaines allegedly exited the car and started to shoot the victim. Both Gaskin and Gaines have been arrested and are facing felony charges including criminal gun possession and criminal use of a firearm. They will be arraigned in Nassau First District; located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead NY 11550.
