EX-CON KILLS WANTAGH TEEN IN DRUNKEN GUN PLAY REPORTS NEW YORK CRIMINAL ATTORNEY

Saturday afternoon, 17 year-old Phillip Levy left his Wantagh, L.I. home to go joy riding with a few friends, but never returned. Levy was shot and killed in a Brooklyn apartment by a drunken ex-con showing off his handgun.

The teens were drinking while driving around Brooklyn, when they decided to visit 33-year-old Scott Bruno in his Bensonhurst apartment. Police believe that Bruno had been drinking all day and started playing around with his gun. He was showing off to the three teenagers, by shooting his 9-mm handgun into the walls, when he accidentally shot Phillip in the head, killing him instantly.

If you or a family member are in this or a similar situation, retaining a New York Criminal Lawyer is very important. Not having a NY Criminal Attorney could result in much greater hardship for you. Knowing your rights and having someone to protect them can keep you from harsh punishment.

Investigators are still unsure of how the teens knew Bruno, but have suspicion that he was a drug dealer. Bruno was arrested in 2006 for drunken driving.
