The thoughts of one woman trying to cause her husband, a veteran detective, to lose his job before he was killed by lacing his food with marijuana was determined to be untrue. The detective was fired and is now working as a security guard. His wife apparently smokes marijuana for back pain. However, this is one criminal act that just seems a bit odd and unclear.

Now retired from the NFL, Jimmy Smith has been sentenced after being arrested this past April. Originally drafted for the Dallas Cowboys he spent most of his career as a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was admitted into the Hall Of Fame. Nassau County Police had special operation officers patrolling in unmarked cars when an officer witnessed an alleged drug sale. The officers were in North Massapequa, NY near North Bay Ave. when the transaction took place. The dealer, Christian Encarnacion; a 35 year old resident of Lindinhurst NY, and the buyer, 30 year old Massapequa resident Tracy Nagle were immediately approached by police. Nagle was found with two bags of cocaine. Encarnacion’s car was searched and had more than 30 bags of the illegal narcotic. They also found Encarnacion’s two children sitting in the back seat of the car while he made the sale. The children, ages 7 and 5, were taken to the precinct and later released to their mother. Nagel has been charged with possession of an illegal drug. Encarnacion was charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Nassau County Police went to the home of Brandon Schneider in Hicksville, New York to arrest him for failing to appear in court as ordered. Cameron Douglas, the 30 year old son of famed actor Michael Douglas, was arrested in NYC for drug possession and drug dealing. Two young women were on Macron Place in Uniondale, NY when they were robbed in broad daylight. The women were walking when a man suddenly approached them and stole their necklaces. At age 35, Paul Kamienski was running three businesses, had cars, homes,
boats, and many parties. Then, in 1983, his lavish lifestyle ended when he was
convicted of being an accomplice to two drug-related killings.
Sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus 12 years, Mr. Kamienski
struggled for 22 years behind bars, maintaining he was innocent. Last month, a
federal appeals court finally overturned his conviction. On Tuesday, June 16th,
2009, he was driven out of South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, New Jersey,
after spending 22 years behind bars. The decision, written by Judge Theodore A.
McKee, criticized the New Jersey appellate courts for lacking substantial
evidence. However, the the ruling is under appeal by the Ocean County prosecutor
who says that the 12 jurors who first saw the evidence to a guilty verdict.
Then, in 1988, a jury in New Jersey Superior Court did in fact convict two
drug dealers, Anthony Alongi and Joseph Marzeno, of fatally shooting Henry and
Barbara DeTournay. Mr. Kamienski had introduced them to each other. He was found
not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and robbery but was convicted of
acting as an accomplice to the murders. Furthermore, Mr. Kamienski was also
convicted of a drug charge and had another 12 years added on to his sentences.
In addition to all this, the trial judge threw out the convictions, but a New
Jersey appeals court later reinstated them and the sentences. Also, an
ex-girlfriend who testified against him while facing drug charges of her own,
has come under closer scrutiny.

Saturday afternoon, 17 year-old Phillip Levy left his Wantagh, L.I. home to go joy riding with a few friends, but never returned. Levy was shot and killed in a Brooklyn apartment by a drunken ex-con showing off his handgun.

The teens were drinking while driving around Brooklyn, when they decided to visit 33-year-old Scott Bruno in his Bensonhurst apartment. Police believe that Bruno had been drinking all day and started playing around with his gun. He was showing off to the three teenagers, by shooting his 9-mm handgun into the walls, when he accidentally shot Phillip in the head, killing him instantly.

Warren G got arrested for possession of marijuana in Hollywood. It was reported that he had enough marijuana on him to get everyone on Sunset Boulevard high.

Two individuals, a woman and a man, have been charged by London Police with procuring drugs for singer Amy Winehouse.

The two have been charged with supplying the artist with both cocaine and ecstasy. John Blagrove and Cara Burton are the names that have been released by the authorities. They have been released on bail.

Christian Phillips was charged but the exact charge was not released.

Craig Phillip Robinson has been arrested on criminal drug charges. The actor is best known for his role on the TV show "The Office."

Documents state that police arrested Robinson for suspicious behavior related to criminal drug possession. He is said to have had illegal drugs including the designer drug known as "ecstasy." Documents say that upon posting bail he was released from prison.

Robert Chambers, the "preppie killer," who served 15 years in prison for strangling a woman in Central Park during what he said was rough sex is headed back into custody for a drug offense.

Robert Chambers pleaded guilty Monday criminal sale of a controlled substance and assault on a police officer. Robert Chambers' girlfriend, Shawn Kovell, stated in state Supreme Court a few months ago that she and Chambers sold drugs to an undercover detective. Under the terms of her deal, she was was remanded to a rehabilitation center. When she completes her program she will be permitted to withdraw the guilty plea and plead to a lesser charge.
