Police Officers Shot at in Drug Case, states New York Criminal Lawyer

Two police officers spotted a 26 year old suspect smoking marijuana at 6:15 PM at a street corner, a New York Criminal Lawyer said. The officers approached the suspect and attempted to place him under arrest when the suspect became unruly and decided to resist arrest. The officers were attempting to handcuff him at the time he opposed them. The suspect then somehow managed to gain access to the gun of one of the officers and tried to fire a bullet. A struggle then ensued with both suspect and officer attempting to gain possession of the weapon. The officer did manage to keep one hand on the barrel of the gun before the gun was fired.

The suspect discharged the gun once and although firing at point blank range, the bullet did not strike anyone or cause any damage. The suspect was attempting to fire a second time but was unable to do so because the shell casing was jammed inside the gun.

The officer was then able to regain full possession of his weapon after a major struggle and the suspect was handcuffed and placed under arrest without further incident. Charges against the suspect and further information is still pending at this time.

Both officers, however, had to be taken to the hospitall for injuries sustained in the altercation. One of the officers suffered an injured elbow. The other officer was treated for injuries to both his back and shoulder.

High School Shooting Puts Police on a Manhunt

Police in Nova Scotia have issued an arrest warrant for a 16-year old male they believe to be responsible for at least some of the shots that were fired at a high school this past Monday. The youth is facing multiple charges that include at least eight offenses involving possession of a weapon, and two counts of attempted murder. While Halifax police believe that only two persons, who have not been named thus far, were targeted by the youth, multiple gunshots were fired outside of the high school that the youth does not attend as a student.

Investigators have also learned that the shooting is believed to be a payback for another recent shooting of which a 16-year old was shot on Saturday, a New York Criminal Lawyer was informed. Police have confirmed they are exploring the possibility the two incidents are related.
While it is unusual for police to announce publicly information on a juvenile, a judge has given them five-days to announce his name and photograph publicly due to the nature of the incidents. The fact that the incident involved seemingly indiscriminate violence with a firearm at a school weighed heavily in the judge’s decision, sources. However, if police have not arrested the 16-year old within that five-day time period, the permission to use his name and photograph publicly will expire.

Within hours of the shooting, police had executed a search warrant at a home they believed the youth may be located, sources have confirmed to a Suffolk County Criminal Lawyer. While police did take two women in for questioning, they were released on Tuesday with no charges being filed.

Halifax police are asking that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this young man to notify the Halifax Police Dept, and are advising not to approach the youth if he is spotted and to notify the police immediately as he is considered armed and dangerous.

The school where the shooting took place was open on Tuesday morning as usual, only with an increased police presence in order to put students, parents, and teachers at ease. Sources say they will likely be there on Wednesday also.

Serious criminal charges can have a significant impact on your life, whether you are found guilty of the charges or not. If you are found guilty, you could be facing prison time, fines, probation, community service, and the offense will be marked on your permanent criminal record. Even if you are found innocent, these types of charges can affect personal and professional relationships. If you have been charged with a criminal offense, it is important to take prompt action and speak to skilled legal counsel as soon as possible to ensure that your rights are protected.

Shooting Triggers Accident, Wounds Victim

A local man was shot and the violence triggered a car accident. The victim, according to witnesses who spoke to a reporter, was standing outside of a local bar minding his own business when shots were fired. The shots came from the gun of an unknown assailant. The fusillade of gunshots resulted in the unsuspecting man being shot in the leg.

The shooting of the man outside the bar didn’t trigger the accident. That shooting was just the beginning of the gun violence.

The 31 year old man lay wounded on the street when a couple nearby ran into trouble. The man, a 28 year old, and the woman, a 25 year old, were sitting in a car parked on the side of the bar. When they heard shooting, they tried to get out of the area. They were leaving the scene at a high rate of speed when their vehicle struck another vehicle that was parked on the street, authorities reported to a local station.

After recovering from the sudden impact of hitting the parked car, the man and the woman emerged from the vehicle. They proceeded to flee on foot, running to the 100 block of a nearby street close to the crash scene. There they approached a residence; the fleeing woman had a facial cut and was bleeding. The homeowner they approached noticed the injury and called for an ambulance.

Emergency medical technicians arrived at the residence quickly. They were able to assist the gunshot victim who was nearby on the street, and the bleeding woman, taking them to the local hospital. In Manhattan and Queens gun possession is not tolerated.

Meanwhile, police responding to the call about shots being fired and the wounded man found shell casings on the sidewalk that ran along the south side of the drinking establishment. The weapon was not recovered and the investigation is continuing. There hasn’t been any public disclosure by authorities on the status of the investigation other than it is ongoing. It is not known if any suspects are in custody or the police are pursuing specific leads at this time.

One Suspect Arrested in Monday’s Shooting; LCPD Still Seek Gun Used in Shooting

One 20-year-old male suspect, of the 4800 block of Main St., was arrested for his alleged involvement in a Monday afternoon shooting in Las Cruces. One person was injured in the assault and had to hospitalized, Las Cruces police department officials reported to a source. LCPD officials have yet to arrest another suspect in the assault, though others were reportedly involved.

Authorities said they were still looking for the small caliber black revolver which was believed to have been used in the shooting. Anyone with information about the gun’s whereabouts or having information about the assault may contact the LCPD.

The suspect and several other men physically assaulted an 18-year-old victim close to 4 p.m. Monday in an abandoned dirt lot between an apartment on the 2200 block of Bex Street and the Chilito’s restaurant on S. Valley Drive, the LCPD told a reporter. Authorities didn’t disclose a reason for the assault, but said the altercation lasted several minutes before the suspect pulled a gun.

The 20-year-old fired two shots from his small caliber black revolver, attempting to hit the 18-year-old victim, police told a radio station. One of the bullets hit the victim, injuring him in his abdominal area. According to the police, the victim initially left the area, along with the other men who were involved in the assault. Further details of the assault are not known at this time.

While the stomach injury did not appear to be life-threatening, authorities indicated to a source that the 18-year-old victim had to eventually be airlifted to the El Paso University Medical Center. Police in New York City and Suffolk are aware of this case and are awaiting the outcome.

The 20-year-old suspect was arrested Monday evening at his mother’s house. He was charged with a third-degree felonious aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for the shooting. Police explained to a group that the suspect was also charged with fourth-degree felonious evidence tampering, but did not indicate the reason for the second charge.

The 20-year-old suspect’s bond was set at $50,000, and he is being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center pending further investigation. Other suspects have yet to be arrested.

Chris Cook’s Day in Court was March 21

Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback, Chris Cook, will have his day in court on March 21, sources say.. He has been formally charged with brandishing a firearm, which in this case is a misdemeanor.

The incident reportedly began, as the second round, draft pick was involved in a heated confrontation with one of his neighbors. While his arrest did not take place during the argument, the arrest and charges occurred after his neighbor swore out an arrest warrant a short time later.. Although Chris Cook was arrested and charged Saturday, he was shortly released on his own recognizance. The cause or content of Chris Cook’s confrontation with one of his neighbors has yet to be released.

In case many who are reading this are wondering, just how Chris Cook was arrested and charged so quickly, especially when police were never called to the scene of the argument at the time of its occurrence. There are some differences in the way that Virginia law works and how the law in many other states work. We will try to explain.

Most states will file charges only after reaching a certain point in their investigations. Many times these charges will be filed long after someone may have been arrested. In large part, this is due to the fact that these states rely on charges to be filed by their District Attorneys. The State of Virginia, however, allows its citizens to appear in front of a magistrate and swear out an arrest warrant themselves. The Nassau County Criminal Lawyer has been told that this is what happened in this case. The man who Chris Cook had been arguing with went before the magistrate, swore out the arrest warrant, and the Lynchburg, VA, police department then served the warrant and arrested Mr. Cook. His preliminary hearing was then set for March 21, where Chris Cook is expected to be arraigned.

It is too early to tell whether the arrest and charges will have any affect on Chris Cook’s NFL career, as the season, if there is one, is still a few months from the beginning.

New Illegal Immigrant Policy at the US-Mexico Border

In Arizona, the controversy continues surrounding the status of illegal immigrants. Despite recent legislative changes in the treatment of illegal immigrants, little has been solved regarding the treatment of these people who are living in the United States illegally. The United States Border Patrol has enacted new policy which includes sending illegal immigrants back across the border.

The new unofficial policy is to send anyone illegally crossing the United States-Mexico border to be sent back to Mexico instead of being arrested. Local law official say that sending people back to Mexico does little to solve the problem; they report that people tend to make multiple attempts to cross the border if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

There are some accusations that the new policy is politically motivated. The theory is that the change in policy is attempting to keep the number of border arrests down to improve the security statistics. By sending the border crossers back to Mexico, the number of arrests along the border has decreased and politicians are using this statistic to suggest that the US-Mexico border has become more secure.

Local law enforcement does not appreciate the new policy as the lower number of people being arrested may cause an increase in the number of people attempting to cross the border. They suggest that this increase in attempts actual decreases the security of the communities near the border. The lack of consequence for illegal entering the country may promote the idea that there is little or no consequence for breaking federal laws.

While immigration has always been a particularly complex issue in the United States, the new policy further complicates the legal process. The selective arresting of some border crossers while others are simply turned back calls into question the fairness of the process. Many supporters of the bill believe that the undocumented people are involved with the smuugling of a variety of drugs ranging from marijuana to heroin as well as a illegal guns.

Federal officials have officially denied that this is a new official policy; however, many people in the organization have said that they were given these orders. A NY City Criminal Lawyer explains that local law enforcement officials continue to argue against this new policy, whether official or not.

Manshot by gun wielding cops outside daycare near Washington, DC and dead at the scene

An axe-wielding man outside an in-home daycare was shot and killed by three police officers in Prince George’s County, near the District of Colombia, authorities reported.
The incident occurred before 3 p.m. a county police spokesman told a New York Gun Crime Law Firms. Officers were sent to the daycare to address reports of an armed man on the premises.
The man with the axe was involved in a child custody battle and wanted to take his children out of the daycare, the police spokesman explained. The daycare provider had called the mother of the children, he said, and she told the provider to keep the children and not give them to their father.
The provider then called the police said many sources.
When the police arrived, the man with the axe was already gone. He returned, however, and at least one officer was still on the scene.
The next events are still being investigated. According to the police spokesman, the man got out of his vehicle, axe in hand, and approached the three officers.
The police spokesman explained to , “The officers felt threatened and they discharged their firearms.” The man had no motive for robbery or any theft
According to the police spokesman, the man was struck killed by the gunfire and pronounced dead on the scene. No one else was hurt in the incident.
Matters involving family can sometimes go too far, if they are allowed to do so. Before they get to that point, it’s best to have good counsel to talk to, someone who can provide a legal means to proceed, like a Nassau County Gun Crime Firm, before it’s too late.
Every story has two sides and it is the right of everyone to have their side of the story told when it comes to the law. Of course, to have that story told, it’s best to be represented by someone who has a firm knowledge of the law and the tenacity to face prosecutors without fear. That representative should be someone with not only skill, knowledge, and integrity, but the honest wish to see you prevail.

Sex play results in Oklahoma woman’s death

People have all kinds of strange sexual proclivities and fantasies in this world, but most of them are relatively harmless, if a little off-putting. A spanking here and there isn’t going to really hurt anything, but some people seem to take things far more serious than other. A New York Criminal Lawyer explained that a 23 year old man placed a call to 911 services on the night of December 21, saying that he had accidentally shot his wife. When police arrived on scene, however, they got the full story.

The man and his 50 year old wife routinely engaged in sex play where the man would hold a gun to her head and threaten her life, the police were told by the man. He also said that he was unaware that the gun was loaded when he pulled the trigger while they were having sex. Now, according to the reporter, he is in custody and facing murder charges.

A New York Criminal Lawyer believes the man will most likely receive jail time even if he somehow manages to have his story corroborated. The intimacy that two people share in The Bronx and Staten Island, especially if their sexual proclivities are considered dangerous or perverse, is not likely to be announced to friends and family. It remains to be seen how the jury will respond in this case. If the sex fantasy scenario checks out, how responsible was the man in not checking for bullets before the scene took place? Further details are pending.

Suspect Seen at Scene of the Crime in Nassau, LI

A witness with a sharp eye saw something that may help in the case of an armored car robbery and murder, sources revealed to investigators. The witness saw the crimes take place – and he also saw an acquaintance of his, the suspect, at the scene two weeks earlier, he testified in court.
Just hours after the 1994 robbery occurred, in which an armored car guard was killed, the witness said he was shown a number of photographs by Nassau police. One of these photographs was the suspect, who is now on trial, facing murder charges in federal court.
In the process of the trial, the witness said he told police he knew the suspect, but didn’t see him at the robbery. He didn’t mention he’d seen the suspect at the crime scene before, but that was easy to rationalize – the suspect was wearing a pig mask during the robbery, prosecutors informed New York Criminal Lawyers.
The suspect, who operates a gym in Dix Hills, is charged with the murder of the armored car guard and two of his own associates who he feared might tell the cops. One of these associates assisted in the robbery, while another sent police a recording that implicates the suspect.
The witness has his own problems with the law in both Staten Island and Westchester County. He didn’t tell everything he knew at first, which led to him pleading guilty to a charge of lying to a federal agent. He may go to prison for five years, himself. It is his hope his testimony might grant him some mercy form the court.
The witness had known the suspect for a few years and described their relationship as “cordial”.
“I got kind of nervous,” he explained to New York Criminal Lawyers, referring to when he was shown the suspect’s photo. “If he had participated, then he saw me –“
He later told the suspect he had seen the police photograph.
“I wanted him to know that I never said anything about seeing him there in the weeks prior. He just looked at me and walked away… I guess I was just looking for reassurance. I wanted it to be good.”

Police Arrest Violent Robbery Suspect

Police have arrested the person they believe perpetrated a violent robbery on February 25, New York Criminal Lawyer has learned. The 32-year old male was taken into custody about a mile from where the crime took place and without incident a week later as he walked along a city street. The arresting officer stated that when the suspect saw the officer that he did attempt to hide his face, but made no attempt to flee from the officer. There is no charge of gun possession.
The robbery, which occurred at a local discount store, was both brutal and distressing, and the local community pulled together and contributed to the arrest. The robbery occurred at about 9:30am on the morning of February 25, when the suspect entered the market while posing as a customer. The robber then grabbed the purse that was flung across the shoulder of a 71-year old female customer. During the process of the suspect fleeing the scene the victim had fallen to the floor, which caused her to bruise her ribs and break her finger and kneecap. She remained in the hospital for several days due to her injuries, but is expected to make a full recovery. Police in The Bronx and Queens would act in a similar manner.
Police officials have told all that this is one instance where the community really pulled together. Pictures from surveillance video, eyewitness descriptions of the robber, and tips from the community all contributed to the arrest. This may be considered as normal behavior for most communities, but this particular community has, at least in the past, had the attitude that “snitches need stitches” that actually prohibits cooperation with the police. It is believed that the fact that the victim was a 71-year old woman was a factor that overcame these attitudes.
There have been other similar robberies in the area recently and police are investigating as to whether the suspect may have a connection to those as well. Another robbery, while unrelated to this one, occurred within 15-minutes of the robbery this suspect was involved in, but was about 30-miles away.
Solving this case has been a boon for both the police department and the community as this was a particularly brutal case due to the victim’s age and the fact that this crime occurred during broad daylight, sources told the New York Criminal Lawyer.

Breaking the Law by carrying a gun

A police told a NY Criminal Lawyer that though a lot of people were frightened recently at a mall because they saw a man carrying his guns openly in the mall, he may not be liable. They think that he may not even have committed a crime.
Advocates of gun rights agreed that the man may not have been legally liable, but not because he could carry a gun in public should he have done so. It is a selfish act for him not to think about the fear that he would put in the hearts of the people who would see him. He has a duty to society to act responsibly and not to make people fear for their safety and existence.
It was the Police that told the Brooklyn Criminal Lawyer that they had received numerous 911 calls that Saturday morning about a man carrying a rifle and hand gun openly. When they went to investigate the incident, they found that the man was indeed carrying a rifle and a hand gun in plain sight, but the guns were not loaded. The management of the mall was very angry about the situation and asked the Police to remove the man from their establishment. With so many terrorism incidents taking place, the mall personnel did not want to leave anything to chance.
The Police did not charge the man for any wrongdoing because according to the law, he was not doing anything wrong. In places like The Bronx and Staten Island there are different laws and the man could easily have been arrested.

Man Who Carried Guns Near Mall Didn’t Break Law

In Orem, Utah police were called to the scene when a man carrying a pistol and a rifle near a mall was spotted. Coming only a week after the Tucson shootings, Police responded quickly to the several 911 calls they received. They found the man walking down the street in front of the mall at the intersection of University Parkway and State Street.

Officers stated that when they found the man, he wasn’t pointing the guns at anyone. The guns were unloaded, and since he was not threatening anyone, it was determined he was not breaking the law, says the New York Criminal Lawyer. Otherwise, he would have been arrested for Gun Possession. In Queens and Manhattan, he might have been arrested.

Mall management asked that the man be removed from the property, however, and the police complied. A gun rights advocate stated that the property owners have every right to ask someone to leave their property, especially when they are business owners.

The same gun rights advocate went on to state how just because you can carry a gun openly in Utah does not mean you should. He went on to say that in this era of terrorism and multiple-victim shoots people tend to look more closely at people who chose to wear their gun in plain sight.

The Orem police have turned the case over to the city prosecutors for a possible charge of disorderly conduct. Officers said that the man’s actions caused disturbance to many people, states a Nassau County Criminal Lawyer. Gun rights advocates stated that although he was working within the constraints of the law, this man should expect to be questioned when being so blatant, and it’s not unrealistic to face possible penalties. He also stated that gun ownership rights should still be respected.

Police said that the people responsible for calling 911 were doing the right thing. They continue to encourage people to call 911 if they see a similar situation.

Hillsboro Police Arrest Suspected Bank Robbers

A man and a woman were arrested by Hillsboro police department for robbing a bank. A New York Criminal Lawyer was handed a report which says the bank robbers were caught because the teller managed to slip a tracking device in with the money.

A 23 year old man and 30 year old women from Arizona were arrested and charged with bank robbery.

The bank robbers tried to obtain cash from the Sterling Savings Bank in Hillsboro. The 23 year old male entered the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. According to eye witness reports, no weapons were used in the heist. If guns had been part of the heist, Gun Possession could be another charge they'd have to face. In Brooklyn and Westchester County, gun possession is a very serious crime and Brooklyn Criminal Lawyers have to be on their toes to get their clients off.

The bank teller handed him the money but also managed to put a tracking device inside the package. The suspect then ran away from the bank and fortunately didn't notice the tiny tracking device which was inside the package of notes.

As indicated in the report, the bank then activated its alarm according to normal procedures. This alerted the police to the bank robbery and they responded by sending out patrol cars.

The police managed to locate the suspects by tracing the tracking device. This allowed them to find the suspect’s vehicle which was parked up around half a mile away from the bank. The female driver was detained immediately, but the male was not in the passenger seat.

A Beaverton police officer and dog searched for the male assailant who was later found hiding in the rear of the truck. The tracking device and money were found with the male suspect in the back of the truck.

If it wasn't for the bravery of the teller who managed to slip the tracking device into the envelope containing the cash, the bank robbers may have been able to evade capture. At the very least, the actions of the teller managed to reduce the time it took to find and detain the suspects.

The case is currently still being investigated by both the local Hillsboro police department and the FBI.

Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects

A recent series of armed robberies in the Seattle area has ended in an arrest. Using photos from an ATM as well as eyewitness accounts, police made the arrest after spotting the suspect walking along a city street. Although the suspect initially denied the allegations, his father, mother, and stepmother, all identified him as being the subject in the ATM that was using a stolen credit card in order to withdraw cash.
The man has not been named, thus far, due to the fact that he has not been formally charged in the case. He is, however, being held on $100,000 bail, according to a New York Criminal Lawyer. Police were able to effect the arrest after his parents had identified him as being the person in the ATM when they saw him and another subject walking along a city street. He was wearing the exact same clothing as he was wearing in the ATM photo. The suspect’s friend was later released.
This is not the suspect’s first run-in with the law, reported a NY City Criminal Lawyer. Over the past year, he was a guest at the King County Jail three times, but as of the end of November, he did not have any convictions on record.
Police have been looking to put an end to the recent rash of robberies in the city. Recent reports of a robbery at a local middle school, a man was held up at gunpoint, robbers made off with a woman’s purse, and a woman was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in a parked car, have all had the local neighborhood on its guard. In Brooklyn and Manhattan, this is automatically considered to be the crime of Gun Possession on top of all the other charges.
The suspect is awaiting sentencing on a recent case to which he pleaded guilty on third-degree theft charges of where he stole his stepmother’s engagement ring that was valued at more than $8,000. It is unclear at this point as to what, if any, affect this recent arrest will have on the sentencing in that case. It had been recommended by the local prosecutor’s office that the sentence be suspended pending his completion of an inpatient treatment program.

Unabomber's Home For Sale

He sat alone at his table for hours. His chair would occasionally rock back as the utmost in precision and care was spent at his craft. It was dangerous work, the kind of work that if it goes wrong there are truly disastrous consequences. And so he worked alone, isolated from the world, until it was time. And at that moment, having written his masterpiece, he went to the post office and deposited his work: bombs. Bombs set to go off and kill innocent civilians. And according to a New York Criminal Defense Lawyer he's known today by one name: the Unabomber and now, if you want, you can sit where he sat, eat where he ate, and sleep where he slept - that's right, the Unabomber’s house is for sale. Gun Possession is often charged in Nassau and Suffolk Counties to get people like the bomber off the street.

Sure, living in an isolated tract of land in the middle of nowhere Montana (is there any other place in Montana?) may not sound appealing, but for less than seventy thousand dollars you can own a piece of American history - at least, that's how the real estate agent is selling it in the ad that has been placed, notes a NYC Criminal Defense Lawyer. The land is mostly ripped free of the original shack, but there still remains a few walls and a roof. A tree has been spray painted FBI, which could make for an interesting conversation starter.

It is said to be an excellent location for hunting and fishing, but one suspects that it's ideal for writing.

Man Murdered by Home Invaders

A man in Queens was stabbed to death when two armed men broke into his apartment and bound him and his mother, sources told New York Criminal Lawyers.
The 32-year-old victim died after being stabbed in the back several times. His mother told New York Criminal Lawyers he owed someone money, after the terrifying home invasion.
The victim’s mother, a gray-haired woman who needs a walker to get around, was not injured in the attack.
The intruders were wearing black when they came into the sixth-floor apartment on Ash Avenue in Flushing around 10 a.m., police informed New York Criminal Lawyers. One of them was wearing a mask and they were armed with knives and guns.
They tied the victim and his mother up with tape before murdering the man in cold blood, according to sources. The invaders then escaped, taking a black duffel back with them. As of yet, the authorities have yet to catch the killers.
The victim’s mother frantically called 911 at around 11:30 a.m. It was already too late by the time emergency responders were able to be on the scene – the victim of the stabbing had already died. Police still do not have a motive or description of the two murderers, or at least they have yet to reveal them. Gun Possession is another charge which can be brought when these acts happen in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
No matter what the crime, every story has two sides, and even the most indefensible crime still requires defense under the law. N York Criminal Lawyers can defend their clients against any allegations, even those that seem impossible.
There are some cases where escaping without some sort of penalty is very unlikely, but it is impossible to know all the options without the best possible legal defense. Even if conviction is imminent, there are still ways to mitigate the punishment and make sure justice is upheld. A good attorney makes sure the defendant does not have to worry about unnecessarily punitive measures – everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Everyone also has the right to avoid cruel and usual punishment, including a punishment that far outweighs the crime.

Alleged Brooklyn Killer Caught Upstate

The suspect in a Brooklyn murder may already have his case decided for him – the slaying was caught on video surveillance. He was caught in all the way up in Albany, after weeks of searching.
The 20-year-old suspect was identified as the primary subject of interest shortly after an 18-year-old man was shot to death on April 17. A camera showed the suspect riding the elevator with the unsuspecting victim in a building in Brownsville at around 7:30 p.m. that evening.
The victim exited the elevator and the suspect, who had previous brushes with the law regarding weapons, drew a silver pistol and followed him into the lobby, police sources informed New York Criminal Defense Teams.
Another camera captured the suspect as he allegedly shot the victim in cold blood. The victim was not seen on the camera, but it could be clearly seen that the suspect was firing the gun, twice, then a third time toward the ground, presumably after his target had fallen.
Yet another camera showed the shooter throwing away the gun, then leaving the scene quickly, pulling his head low to hide his face as he attempted to make his escape.
It has yet to be revealed who harbored the suspect while he stayed in Albany or exactly how the authorities managed to track him down. Police did release the video of the shooting, however, in an effort to gain public help in catching the murderer. In New York City and Long Island, a charge of Gun Possession would also be filed.
When the police came for him, the suspect allowed himself to taken without conflict and he was returned to Brooklyn for questioning.
Even when the outcome of a case seems like a foregone conclusion, there are important facts of the law to consider. There is the right to a fair trial. There is also the fact that all people are innocent until proven guilty. The law is a complicated thing and it takes someone who has studied it for years to properly understand completely enough to provide the legal defense that is the right of every person arrested by authorities. A New York Criminal Defense Team is just such a resource – with the experience, tenacity, and knowledge to make sure the law is applied evenly.

Stories from Around the City

The first story comes out of Queens.
A grocery worker, apparently tired of providing polite service, allegedly hit a customer in the face with a bat, ending an argument that happened in a shop in Flushing.
The 24-year-old grocer had been having heated words with the victim in the grocery store at about 1:30 in the morning when the customer stormed out.

Thief Tried To Make Off With a Macintosh Reports Long Island Criminal Lawyer

The Meatpacking District’s Apple store thought that the security on the computers, which tethers the laptops so that thieves can’t simply walk out of the store with a display model. Most computer and other electronic stores have the products tethered to a permanent stand and most assume that the security in place in the stores is fool proof.

The twenty-three year old suspect should be looking for a Long Island Criminal Lawyer sooner than later. And with the suspect’s general lack of respect and lack of humor, he will need a Long Island Criminal Lawyer like the ones at Steve Bilkis and Associates.

After the suspect was grabbed by a guard and he was trying to leave the tore and when the cops arrived to arrest him, he simply said, “Well, at least they got it back. Can I go?” Unfortunately that’s simply not the way the justice system works. Obviously the answer was no and the man was charged with grand larceny. There was no Possession of a Weapon charged in this case.

A Man Was Shot For Attempting to Save the Life of His Son says a Long Island Criminal Lawyer

Regardless of where justice comes from, the heart, heaven or the criminal justice system, sometimes believing that justice will be served is the best way to cope with the loss of a loved one. A mother of two boys, a seventeen-year-old and a seven-year-old, discussed how her husband was shot while their oldest son watched. She believes the criminals shot the man after he refused to lie down on the ground. His wife believes he did this in order to prevent the murder of both he and his seventeen-year-old son

Apparently the would-be robbers approached the father and son demanding that both men lie down on the ground. The seventeen-year-old did as he was told but his father remained standing. His widow believed he did this thinking that if they both were lying down the men in possession of a weapon and demanding money would just shoot both of them and that by not lying down he was at least saving the life of his own son. The man & his wife had been married nineteen years.

Two men have been charged with the death of the landscaper who came to the United States from El Salvador fifteen years ago. Another suspect is also being sought at. The alleged gunman pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and first-degree attempted robbery. This criminal said he shot the man because he would not lie down. He was being held without bail and ordered to return to court next month. Another suspect, an eighteen-year-old, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. This suspect was found with a bullet in his pocket that matched the one that killed the El Salvadorian father.

Security video in a nearby delicatessen was seized by authorities confirmed the details of the shooting. As it was, the victim was shot in front of his son and possibly in order to save his life although he had no money to give the would-be robbers.
In situations like this one, The Law Office of Steven Bilkis and Associates and its Long island Criminal Lawyers are available to help clients. In this particular scenario, the crime resulted in the forfeiture of one million dollars and a prison term, although his attorney was seeking home detention. With 28 Prior Arrests, White Could Have Used the Help of a New York Criminal Lawyer

This particular problem started with a simple accident. A drink was spilled and from there, gun-wielding ex-cons, bouncers and plain-clothes police were ruling the Norwood Palace Sports Bar in Cypress Hills. The deejay said it had been a great party until about 3 AM and he saw the man spill a drink. He immediately went back into the deejay booth and listened as shots were fired. It’s hard to imagine that a spilled drink could lead to such chaos and recklessness but if you or someone you know is in a situation where you need a New York Criminal Lawyer, Stephen Bilkis and Associates specialize in the criminal field and can help you.
Kevin White whose family claims he was once a bodyguard for Mariah Carey and P.Diddy say he was only doing his job. However, he was seen on surveillance video firing a gun inside the crowded bar. Once the bar was full of chaos, a nineteen-year-old Donovan Wilson shot a security guard who was fortunately wearing a bulletproof vest and wasn’t seriously injured. Once NYPD burst in the door, they encountered Wilson waving a .25-caliber handgun.
Once Wilson engaged officers by pointing a gun at them, the officers opened fired. He was hit in the chest, elbow and leg. In the meantime, other officers were busily cuffing Wilson. But, the night wasn’t coming to an end this easy.
Partygoers stranded inside the bar say that people were throwing wooden barstools at one another and at least one more gun was brandished. The video cameras verify that White had fired several shots and when the cop approached him, he turned the gun to them. The officers demanded that he to put the gun down. More shots were fired during this time and this is apparently when the bouncer was hit. Once a mild calmness returned, White was found with a .357 magnum in his hand and a semiautomatic handgun was found nearby. Possession of a weapon was on the docket in this situation.
White died later at the hospital. White’s brother said that he had taken the gun from another partygoer and was trying to do the right thing.

Farina's lawyer explained what happened and posted bail for the actor. If you are charged with a gun crime in JFK or Laguardia Airport airports, a New York Criminal Attorney must be hired to help you out of your difficulties. Without an attorney you stand a great chance of seeing your rights ignored.

Farina told authorities that he didn't remember that the weapon was in his suitcase. Although it sounds fishy, The police let him off easily and he was only charged with suspicion of carrying a concealed gun. The actor is a co-star with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher in What Happens in Vegas.

Remy Ma sentenced for shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph

After an argument which ended in gun play, Makeda Barnes Joseph was injured. Remy Ma, aka Remy Smith, was sentenced to 8 years’ jail for her involvement in the encounter last summer. Remy and Joseph argued over money in NYC. Remy’s gun went off. Remy maintained that the gun was not meant to go off...it was an accident.

Remy cried when she got her sentence. Eight years was a long time but she got off lightly. She could have gotten 25 years for her obvious street sensibility and stupidity.

She got off lightly because she had a good lawyer. Make sure that you have a NY Criminal Lawyer to defend you if you are charged with a crime. Not having a New York Criminal Attorney representing you could lead to conviction and a sentence which is the maximum rather than the minimum.

Remy had a wedding planned for the weekend but it was cancelled by the officials. Her boyfriend Papoose was going to visit her in prison but he was caught with a handcuff key. Papoose failed to smuggle it in and he was banned from the prison island Rikers. The ban would last 6 months.

Don't Play The Game Without a Queens Criminal Attorney

The Game checked into the Twin Towers Correctional Facility tonight to begin serving his sentence for pleading no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.

Last month, Game (real name Jayceon Taylor) was sentenced to 60 days in jail, 150 hours of community service and three years probation.

If he was not represented by an attorney his sentence could have been even more harsh. You or a member of your family should have a Queens Criminal lawyer at your side if you are charged with a crime. Not doing so will put you in jeopardy and could result in penalties that you or a member of your family could have avoided.
