City Crime Investigated by Authorities

The first story takes place in the Bronx, where a mother is accused of slapping her 8-year-old son in their home in Castle Hill. The 30-year-old woman hit the boy so hard that blood pooled in his right eye afterward, sources said.
The boy’s face swelled up on the right side, due to the open-handed blow on March 30 at 6 p.m., police revealed to New York Criminal Law Firms.
The mother was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Elsewhere in the Bronx, this time in Fordam, another was charged with assault, in this case a man for hitting his girlfriend. A 27-year-old man allegedly punched the woman repeatedly in the face and pulled her hair. She got away from him, but a few days later, there was another assault and he attacked her again in a similar manner.
“Don’t stay in the living room or you’re going to get it,” he shouted at her while punching her in the face, according to court papers read by New York Criminal Law Firms. The victim sustained facial swelling and bruising, while the man was charged with assault and menacing.
Meanwhile, in Manhattan, a man was arrested for scalping counterfeit tickets to a Rangers game, near Madison Square Garden, authorities explained to investigators.
Officers caught the 48-year-old suspect trying to trying to sell nine tickets to a game against the Boston Bruins, court papers detailed. The suspect was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and fraudulent accounting.
In another Manhattan story, a shoplifter attempted to steal $1,770 worth of jewelry from a Macy’s in Herald Square, authorities detailed in their reports.
The 53-year-old suspect is said to have had 12 necklaces and seven earrings in her possession when security pulled her aside. According to sources, the suspect had already been banned from Macy’s last June for reasons that are yet unknown.
In this instance, the suspect was charged with burglary and grand larceny.
