Nassau County Man Arrested for More than Marijuana

by

Detectives had been watching the man for a while, police sources told a New York Criminal Lawyer. Seeing him carrying marijuana plants was the last straw. It was time to make the arrest.
The 45-year-old suspect was arrested on drug and weapon charges. The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office told a New York Criminal Lawyer the suspect was not only growing marijuana in his yard, but at a business, as well.
When detectives saw him carrying pots bearing the illegal herb, they made the arrest. They also found more plants, along with the materials needed to properly care for them. All told, New York Criminal Lawyers have learned, the suspect had 55 plants between his home and his business, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police also found a rifle in his him, a source told a New York Criminal Lawyer. This was a violation, since the suspect already had a prior felony conviction against him. The defendant has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
No matter how cut and dry the case seems to be, a New York Criminal Lawyer is still essential. It is impossible to tell how much better the outcome will be when a good lawyer is involved, but rest assured, it will be better than if, for instance, the defendant attempts to represent himself.
