Grand Larceny is defined as illegally taking the property of another. In New York State the property must be valued at over $1,000.00. This crime is governed by New York Penal Law Sections 155.30 through 155.42. There are four degrees of Grand Larceny, going from Grand Larceny in the 1st degree through Grand Larceny in the 4th degree.

Grand Larceny in the 4th degree is classified as an E Felony would include a theft with a monetary value of $1,000. but not to be higher than $2,999.99 dollars. This category includes crimes such as car theft (must be valued at over $100.), firearm theft, theft of a religious worship item, and stealing a public record. Grand Larceny in the 3d degree is classified as a D Felony, and is the theft of an item valued at $3,000. or more, but not to exceed $49,999.00. Grand Larceny in the 2nd degree is classified as a C Felony. Grand Larceny in the 1st degree involves a theft where the monetary value of the item exceeds $1,000,000.

A woman asked her angry boyfriend to leave her home after a argument. Instead, the man took his anger out on the woman’s daughter. The teenage girl was stabbed 20 times. The man fled from the apartment after stabbing the young girl. Fortunately he was captured soon after he left the apartment report New York Criminal Lawyers.

According to authorities, the man’s nine-year-old daughter called 911 and turned him in. The man and woman were involved in an altercation and were trying to reconcile outside the young woman’s apartment around 11 PM when he became violent. The Harlem drug-dealing legend, Frank Lucas, obviously taught his ex-wife the business but not how to avoid the law. He was immortalized in “American Gangster” but his ex-wife has now been busted for trying to make drug deals for herself. An off duty NYPD officer was the driver in an accident that killed himself and a peer. The reports show that the officer’s blood alcohol level was 0.16, twice the legal limit of 0.08. His peer was a passenger in the automobile when the crash took place on the northbound Bronx River Parkway at East 233rd street. Four other passengers in the crash were injured but their injuries were non-life threatening. The destination of the two officers was unknown as was their previous location. One of the most upsetting crimes for most everyone to cope with is that we have police officers that are not abiding by the law themselves. The Queens and the Bronx had fallen prey to a Jamaican drug lord who was digging deep into the neighborhoods with guns and drugs. The man ran a huge drug and gun smuggling operation and law enforcement sources are working hard to make sure they have uncovered all of his work. The Eden II School for Children with Autism was recently burglarized. The heartless
thief, with the help of at least one person, stole $3000 worth of electronics from the
Staten Island school. The executive director of the school told a New York Criminal

An Australian woman was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the death of a man she
alleges she was afraid of. According to reports to New York Criminal Lawyers, the woman
was highly intoxicated and impaired when the incident occurred on June 7, 2008. The
victim and his friends apparently had been throwing cheese puffs at the woman's car
when she ran over him. The driver had consumed two bottles of wine, as well as taking
some amphetamine drugs, in addition to smoking marijuana prior to plowing over the

altercation between the parties, just that the men were slinging the snacks at the

Two officers are already serving time in a fatal police shooting that left two dead and four others wounded just days after Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on New Orleans. A man left his bike, ran inside an office building for a pick-up and sense the errand was suppose to be quick, he didn’t lock up his bright orange bike because he thought it would just slow him down. A Greyhound Bus from Manhattan was found in Astoria, Queens. Apparently it was swiped from the storage garage in Manhattan and wound up in Queens. A Rival bus company called in when he spotted the abandoned but on Astoria Blvd in Queens. There are no suspects as of now but it is alleged that someone that worked within the company must have been the thief because only Greyhound employees would know how to access the bus battery and disable it. A 32-year old woman is being treated at St. Vincent’s Hospital on 170 W 12th Street in Manhattan, New York as the victim of a sex crime. Apparently she was brutally attacked by Christopher Konneker, a sex fiend at his apartment on Mulberry Street at around 3am. It is alleged that he forced him self on her and choked her to unconsciousness. Michael Jackson is, was and always will be a pop icon. This particular problem started with a simple accident. A drink was spilled and from there, gun-wielding ex-cons, bouncers and plain-clothes police were ruling the Norwood Palace Sports Bar in Cypress Hills. The deejay said it had been a great party until about 3 AM and he saw the man spill a drink. He immediately went back into the deejay booth and listened as shots were fired. Kevin White whose family claims he was once a bodyguard for Mariah Carey and P.Diddy say he was only doing his job. However, he was seen on surveillance video firing a gun inside the crowded bar. Once the bar was full of chaos, a nineteen-year-old Donovan Wilson shot a security guard who was fortunately wearing a bulletproof vest and wasn’t seriously injured. Once NYPD burst in the door, they encountered Wilson waving a .25-caliber handgun.

More shots were fired during this time and this is apparently when the bouncer was hit. Once a mild calmness returned, White was found with a .357 magnum in his hand and a semiautomatic handgun was found nearby. Possession of a weapon was on the docket in this situation.
White died later at the hospital. White’s brother said that he had taken the gun from another partygoer and was trying to do the right thing.

Regardless of where justice comes from, the heart, heaven or the criminal justice system, sometimes believing that justice will be served is the best way to cope with the loss of a loved one. Another suspect, an eighteen-year-old pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. This suspect was found with a bullet in his pocket that matched the one that killed the El Salvadorian father.

At the brief age of 19, with high hopes of becoming an auto mechanic and following in the foot steps of his father, one young man lost his life in what very well may have been a case of simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This nineteen-year-old was found stabbed inside a house, which had burned. The situation is double sided in that apparently the young man was stabbed and then burned in the house to cover up the criminal act. One other individual found in the burned home showed signs of being tortured prior to burning in the house.

Neither the wealth of a Brazilian anchorman nor that of his ex-wife and model Maria Vianna is enough to get the anchorman, Rony Curvelo’s daughter back in his custody. He accidentally sent an email to Vianna regarding the possibility of going to Haiti. Vianna took the email to a judge in Manhattan Family Court and requested that she retain custody of their daughter Jennifer who is eight.

According to Vianna, the documents she signed giving custody of the child to Curvelo which was signed and notarized in Miami was forged and that the paperwork regarding this issue, which was filed in Miami is not valid either because she didn’t have a lawyer.

The strict new DWI law known as Leandra’s Law went into effect December 18, 2009. The law was created after an eleven year old Leandra Lewis was killed in a car accident caused because the driver of the vehicle had been intoxicated. The law has now harsher than ever. Now any adult caught driving while impaired with a child under the age of 16 years may be charged with an E felony and faces up to 4 years in prison. A driver who is impaired and causes the death of a child less than 16 years may face up to 25 years in prison and a B Felony. The police will also report the parent/ guardian of the child to the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment.
Just days after the law was enacted, one mother have been arrested. She was pulled over by police after they noticed her car swerving on the New York State Thruway. As previously revealed James Madison High School on Brooklyn, New York also known as “Horn Dog High” was under investigation because allegedly 2 female teachers got naked in a classroom while another was punished for being to close to a student. Cops went into a Corona home after they rec’d a call from the 110th Street apartment in Queens, NY. They found the body of 29 year old DB stabbed 40 times. It was noted that the apartment had signs of struggle and the body’s wounds were to the heart, lungs and jugular. It is alleged that the boyfriend has something to do with the death of this 29 year old. On December 5, two men went into the Elmhurst Employment Agency. Once inside, a 43 year-old and a 40 year-old robbed and assaulted the agency’s owner. The agency which is located near 41st Avenue and 81st Street was robbed shortly after opening that morning. The men went inside carrying knifes and demanded money from the owner. One beat the man up while the other held the weapon to the owner. They took the owner’s money and fled from the scene. Queens County Police were tipped off as to the men’s whereabouts. One suspect was put under arrest that same evening and his partner was arrested December 10, 2009. Both men are being charged with robbery; which is a felony and criminal possession of a weapon; which is a misdemeanor. One man has been held on $60,000.00 bail while the other has been held on $25,000.00 bail. Neither men have posted bail as of yet. A 49 year old Williamsburg, NY resident was drinking close to his home this week when he got into a fight with another man. Kings County Police report that the incident happened at Maria grocery; which is located at 373 Broadway, Brooklyn NY 11211. The grocery store has a pool table in the back of the store and allows patrons to play. Reports show that the aforementioned man was intoxicated as he got into a fight with another man who was playing pool. It is unclear why the men started arguing, but it ended with the suspect shooting the man once in the chest. The shot was fatal. The other people in the store did not suffer any injury. Reports do not indicate if the shooter had been drinking at the store, or had arrived intoxicated. Kings County Police put the shooter under arrest for criminal possession of a weapon and murder. Brooklyn Police were alerted to an incident that happened on Christmas Eve in Satmar Meats, Fort Green NY. Reports have not released the name of the victim, but do state that a 27 year old man assaulted his female coworker earlier that morning. The woman claimed he did not like the way she was cutting the meats and began attacking her. She tried to run from the man but he followed her and continued to hit her. He allegedly threatened to hurt family members if she reported the incident. Reports do not state how long the assailant or the victim were employees of the butcher shop; which is located on Lee Street in Brooklyn, close to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Police put the suspect under arrest after the victim’s husband saw the bruises and reported the incident. He has been charged with assault, harassment in the 2nd degree and menacing in the 3rd degree. He will be arraigned in Kings county Criminal Court; located at 120 Schermerhorn St. Brooklyn, NY 11201. Even though he assaulted a woman he will not be charged with a Sex Crime.

Uber Café was a bagel store located at 334 Depot Rd. in Huntington Station, NY. The store’s owners who resides at 153-26 77th Ave in Flushing, NY, and his brother a 28 year old of 158-17 78th Rd., Flushing NY set fire to their store late one night. Suffolk County Fire Department responded to the fire and managed to subdue the flames. Suffolk County Police have not released how they found it was the brothers who set the store on fire, or the reason behind it. A former Kings County resident, had been working as a bus driver for a school in Brooklyn, NY. He had driven his route that day and dropped the children off at Stanley S. Lamm Preschool on Prince Street in downtown Brooklyn. He and the bus matron did not check the bus to see if the were any children still on board. Unfortunately, a young disabled boy was left on the bus. The driver and matron took the bus into a shopping center where passer-bys noticed the unattended child and called police. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital and was found with no injuries. The driver was suspended from the job and arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor. He was sentenced this week. A 26 year old man from East 3rd Street, Queens NY; was working as a supervisor at UPS when it was discovered he had stolen telephones from their packages. The building which is located at 300 Oak Street, Uniondale NY 11553 is a main loading and shipping station. A 25 year old bank teller along with a 51 year old resident of North Ocean Ave in Patchogue are both facing D Felony Grand Larceny Charges in the 3rd degree. They both conspired to falsely report a robbery at a Citizens Bank Branch on 294 Middle Country Rd in Coram, New York. It was arranged for Palma Salinas to approach Arevalo with a note demanding money. One man would hand off the money and it was agreed that later they would meet at another location to split the stolen money. Upon the response of the authorities, the authorities were given a description of the robber and they were told that he ordered the cash with a note. Witnesses directed the officers to a nearby McDonalds and they found the other man with the cash and note. Detectives were then suspicious and under questioning the bank teller admitted that they had conspired. They were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip, NY. A woman was leaving a restaurant in Queens, NY when she claims a group of men followed her. She ran into a subway station to try to get away from them as they tried to sexually assault her. In August, a 23 year old man was shot at a park in South Floral Park near Tennessee Avenue and Marguerite Avenue. Nassau County Police did not release the name of the victim, but did state that he was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for gun wounds to his lower body. The shooters were recently apprehended in Brooklyn, NY. Derek Gaines, 28 year old who resides at 144-30 168th St. Jamaica NY, and Melissa Gaskin, a 23 year old who resides at 737 Westminster Rd Brooklyn NY, were sitting in a parked car on Avenue U in Brooklyn, NY when Fifth Squad Detectives found and arrested the pair. Reports indicate that the victim and Gaskin were involved in a verbal altercation when the fight started. Gaines allegedly exited the car and started to shoot the victim. Suffolk County Police arrested 25 year old Herminia Arevalo; of Brentwood NY; and 51 year old Lorenzo Salinas; of Patchogue NY; for conspiring and robbing the bank that Arevalo worked as a teller in. Police report that Arevalo picked up Salinas and planned to rob Citizens Bank in Coram, NY. Salinas would approach Arevalo and produce a note demanding cash. Arevalo would hand over money. They agreed to meet up later and split the cash. Police were tipped off by witnesses and found Salinas shortly after. Arevalo later admitted that the two had worked together to stage the robbery. Brad Ferro was in a New Jersey bar while MTV was filming the reality TV show “Jersey Shore”. The 24 year old gym teacher from Queens was intoxicated when he gotten into a fight one of the show’s stars Nicole “Snookie” Polizzi. Snookie was drinking with fellow cast mates and had ordered drinks. She accused Ferro of stealing the drinks she had ordered. It was then that a very intoxicated Ferro punched “Snookie”. A New York Police Department raid led to the arrest of 21 employees of a strip club in Manhattan NY. Two of the employees were Alexia Moore and Falynn Rodriguez. Both 27 year old New York City residents have been accused of being prostitutes and agreeing to have sex with an undercover cop for $5000.00. The women both claim that the officer offered them the money and while they jokingly discussed it, they never thought he was serious because of the amount of the money being offered. Police report that the women discussed a date and place outside of the club where the exchange would be made, but the defense lawyer for the women state that at the time of the arrest, no sexual exchange had taken place. Nassau County Police report that 16 year old Jamiel Savizon, of 589 Cedar St., Uniondale NY 11553, had tried to rob a man just 7 blocks away from his house. Savizon approached a man trying to get into his van near Locust Avenue and Front Street in Uniondale. He had his hand in his jacket and pretended it was a gun when he approached the unidentified man and demanded money. The man struck Savizon with the door to his van. A two car crash on the Southern State Parkway resulted in 2 arrests. Michael Permenter and Christopher Cantres, both of whom live at 177 Alder Drive in Mastic Beach NY, were driving near Exit 19 Peninsula Blvd on the Southern State Parkway when the accident occurred. Police have not reported whose car caused the accident but did state that the arriving officer on the scene smelled marijuana. The officer then searched the car and found marijuana and a handgun. Brothers Anthony Minkeson, 20, and Patrick Minkeson, 19, have pled guilty to raping a young girl last year. The Minkeson’s, along with their friend Justin McDonald, were in a park in Suffolk County, NY when they approached the young woman and her friends. The men were armed with baseball bats and a gun. They robbed and tied the young woman’s friends up. Anthony Minkeson, who is a Wyandanch, NY resident, repeatedly raped the woman while his brother Patrick; a Huntington, NY resident; held the gun. Both of the Minkeson’s were being charges with first degree rape, sexual assault, and first degree robbery, as well as other charges. They pleaded guilty during their pre-trial conference. Anthony Minkeson will receive 22 years in prison and Patrick will receive 19 years in prison when they go back to Suffolk Supreme Court; located at 1 Rivington Street, Riverhead NY 11901; for sentencing. They had also pled guilty to an armed robbery that was committed in 2007. They will each receive 9 years for the robbery, which will have to be served consecutively with the rape sentencing. When released from prison, both men will have to file as registered sex offenders. Their accomplice, McDonald will begin trial next week in Suffolk County Supreme Court.

Now retired from the NFL, Jimmy Smith has been sentenced after being arrested this past April. Originally drafted for the Dallas Cowboys he spent most of his career as a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was admitted into the Hall Of Fame. More recently, he was pulled over by an officer in Florida for having his windows tinted darker than legally allowed. When he stopped the officer noticed marijuana, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in the car. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and drug possession. He pled guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced to six months of residential lockdown. Smith also has to pay $1,000 in fines. When his probationary period is over, he can apply for a new license. Smith will also have to attend weekly counseling and submit to random drug screenings while he is house arrest. The other charges will be dropped if he follows the Court’s orders.

Lisa Gibbs, the principal of Brooklyn’s School for Global Studies has been arrested for stabbing her husband with a box cutter after an argument of infidelity. Gibbs is now facing 6 misdemeanor charges including assault with intent to cause injury, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and harassment. A group of identity theft thieves have been caught by the NYPD. Police report that the thieves were hiring pickpockets to steal people’s wallets. They also had employees at a collection agency find the social security numbers of the people they just pickpocketed. Once they had that information they found other thieves to dress as the victims and withdraw money from their bank accounts. The thieves wore wigs, make up, glasses and in some cases costumes to try to look like heir victims. They were finally apprehended after a Chase employee noticed the same man kept appearing on security tapes. In some cases he was dressed as a doctor and other times he was dressed as a construction worker. The man on the videos was later identified as Arthur Franklin. Others that have been put under arrest include for their involvement are Yvonne Harris and Carol DiBitetto. A 68 year old Bay Ridge resident was a victim of a home robbery last August. Kings County Police report the home, which is located on 93rd Street near Third Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, was broken into by a neighbor. They have not released the home owner’s name but state that 47 year old Thomas Piccirillo demanded money through the closed door. The man refused to given him money but Piccirillo then convinced him to open the door. Once the door was open, Piccirillo forced his way inside and assaulted the man. He stole more than $200 dollars from the man’s wallet. Police were not able to find Piccirillo until a neighbor recently spotted him in the area again. Kings County Police were notified and he was arrested. He now faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges including Burglary, Criminal Trespass and Grand Larceny. New York City Police Department recently arrested 38 year old Lance Stewartson for felony burglary charges. He followed a woman into her apartment building in the West Village area on Manhattan, NY. He then assaulted her and stole her purse. Stewartson put his victim in a chokehold until she lost consciousness. A witness called the police who apprehended Stewartson shortly after. New York Police Department has not released the victim’s name or the location of the burglary but has said the apartment building is near Christopher Street and Bleecker Street in New York City. Road rage took a deadly turn on Friday in Long Beach, NY. Police arrested 22 year old Evan Potts, a former Oceanside resident, for allegedly running over a 34 year old man. It is not clear why the initial fight had started but witnesses say that the 34 year old man, driving a Porsche, was heading east down Park Avenue in Long Beach when he jumped out of his car to chase Potts down National Boulevard. The driver of the Porsche then followed Potts to the next intersection, blowing a red light along the way to catch up to him. He blocked the car Potts’ was driving and got out of his car. The enraged man started banging on the hood of Potts’ car, yelling at him to get out. Witnesses say it seemed as though Potts’ reversed to get around the man, but was blocked in by another car. Potts hit the man, knocking him backwards and ran over him. Witness John Messina said, “It looked like the kid panicked and went right over the guy.” Eileen Kelly, 45, overheard Potts telling police, “I was trying to get away from him for 5 minutes. Look at my cell phone. I called 911 on my cell phone.” Potts will be charged under homicide statues no DWI was charged.

Roger Stephens; a 61 year old resident of Stone Mountain, GA; was in Wal-Mart when a simple shopping trip turned into an arrest. He was in the store at the same time as Sonya Matthews; of Grayson, GA. Matthews was in the Atlanta, GA Wal-Mart with her 2 year old daughter. Her daughter began to cry, which annoyed Stephens. Stephens yelled at Matthews to make her daughter be quiet and stop crying. After the young girl would not stop crying, Stephens repeatedly struck the child. A bystander in the store was able to detain Stephens until store security came. They then called the police. Stephens admitted to Gwinnet County Police that he hit the child. He was taken to Gwinnet County Detention Center, where he was held with out bond.

A jealous young husband has been arrested for shooting his wife of 11 months. Lenox Ramsay, 19, waited for his estranged wife Kaidan Ramsey, 22, to leave Medgar Evers College; which is located at 1650 Bedford Ave. Brooklyn NY 11225. When she emerged from the college he chased her down Carroll Street and tried to push her into traffic. Kaiden tried to escape into a passing car but Lenox pulled her away. Good Samaritans tried to break up the fight, but Lenox pulled a loaded firearm out and fired warning shots into the air. He then turned on his wife and shot her twice. Lenox fled the scene while the police were called. He ran to Nostrand Ave., where he tried to steal an automobile but was unsuccessful. Kings County Police caught Lenox Ramsey shortly after the incident happened and arrested him. Darcheena Ray, a 34 year old South Ozone Park, Queens NY resident is facing a felony charge of Grand Larceny in the third degree after selling nearly $12,000.00 worth of stolen shoes on eBay. Ray was a customer service employee at Jimlar Corp., which sells high-end name brand shoes like Fryer Boots and Coach Shoes. Jimlar Corp.’s headquarters; which is the location Ray worked in; is located at 160 Great Neck Road, Great Neck NY 11021. They also have a showroom at 711 Fifth Street, New York NY 10019.
The thefts came to light after a customer tried to return the shoes purchased off the website. She did not have a receipt but had proof of the eBay transaction showing that the shoes were shipped to her from Jimlar. The company started an internal investigation since they do not sell shoes through eBay. Nassau County District Attorney’s Office took over the case and had Ray arrested. Police looking for a robbery suspect ended up arresting a man for murder in Bronx, NY. After a store on W. 240th Street in Bronx NY was robbed at gunpoint, police were looking in the area for the suspect. They came across Charles McDowell, a 22 year old Bronx resident. Cops searched him and found that he was carrying a .25 caliber handgun. The gun McDowell was carrying matched the gun used in the murder of a Livery cab driver earlier this month. The murder was in the Baychester, in the Bronx, NY. McDowell had been in police custody after the murder because his prints were found on the taxi. Police had to release him after witnesses could not pick him out of the suspect line-up. McDowell is facing felony charges of murder, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted robbery in the first degree. Spiderman’s starlet Kirsten Dunst had been staying at Soho Grand in 2007 when the room she was staying was robbed. She had been staying at the upscale hotel, located at 310 West Broadway New York NY 10013, while filming “How to Lose friends and Alienate People”. While Dunst was out of her room, two men broke in and stole a Marc Jacobs handbag, her wallet, iPod, a Balenciaga purse, and numerous other personal items and accessories. Jonathan Huff, resident of Roosevelt Island New York, NY, has been accused of touching one of the students at the school where he is the dean. Reality TV star Tila Tequila has alleged that her boyfriend Shawne Merriman; a linebacker for the San Diego Chargers; chocked her and stopped her from leaving his apartment. The two were at Stingtree night club hours before the alleged incident occurred. After leaving the club, both went back to Merriman’s home in Poway, CA. San Diego County Sheriff received a call from a woman claiming she had been choked and pushed down as she tried to escape the house. When the Sheriff arrived Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, signed a citizens arrest for Merriman allegedly falsely imprisoning her and battery. Both are felony charges if he is found guilty. Tequila was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was later released with no injuries. Merriman was taken into custody and was held on $58,000.00 bail. He was released after bail was posted. No charges have been filed to date.

Staff at Ritz Dinner watched as a father took his child out of the car and strapped her into the stroller. They then saw him climb back into his car and drive off, leaving the young child on the street. New York City Police were quickly called. They responded to find the girl with workers form the diner, located at East 62nd Street and First Avenue in Manhattan, NY. The child was taken to New York Hospital, where she was found to be healthy. Later that evening, the child’s parents went to the 19th Precinct looking for their daughter. They claimed the mother, whose name has not been released to the public, had been arguing with the child’s father. She left the child in the car with her dad and walked away. The father, Brooklyn resident Edwin Rivera, left the girl on the street thinking her mother would see her and turn around to get her. He was arrested for child abandonment and endangering the welfare of a child. The young girl was released into her mother’s custody.

Clarence Mobley, a 60-year-old inmate, died on Saturday after fighting with correction officers at the Rikers Island Correctional Facility. The South Carolina native was found unresponsive in his cell on Saturday night at the Anna M. Kross Center at Rikers Island. Earlier that evening, Mobley had assaulted a corrections officer with a meal tray and had been subdued and moved to a separte holding pen. An officer was treated for minor injuries to his fact during the altercation.
A spokesman for the New York City Department of Correction, Stephen J. Morello, said that Mobley had been arrested April 30 in Jamaica, Queens, on attempted burgary charges and was waiting for a transfer to the Bellvue Hospital Prison Ward in Manhattan for a psychiatric evaluation.

It was determined that Mobley suffered from a liver laceration due to blunt trauma of the torso, although the death has not been ruled a homicide. The Department of Correction is investigating the case.

Sunday school teacher, Melissa Huckaby was arrested yesterday in the killing of a young girl, Sandra Cantu, who was found stuffed into a suitcase. Huckaby is currently being held in San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping and killing Cantu.

Relatives are stunned by these accusations and describe Huckaby as a loving, single parent. The cops searched the church and locat investigators suspect her of the murder but no one can figure out why. The church was searched last week after police said Sandra’s body was found in Huckaby’s suitcase in an irrigation pond.

Queens County Police captured 49 year old Vipan Chandler after he set fire to a home on 64th Street in Forest Hills, NY. They reported that Chandler went to the home of a couple that he knew and threw gasoline over the front door to their home. He then lit the fire and took off. The home owners were able to put out the fire themselves and called Queens County Police. While police were taking the report, Chandler drove past the house. The victims noticed him driving and pointed him out to the cops. They quickly took down his license plate number, but he was able to get away. Chandler returned to the home he tried to burn down later that night and assaulted the home owner, leaving her with lacerations on her face. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officers found Chandler on the Grand Central Parkway after the second incident. When he tried to stop him, he ran the officers over with his vehicle. One officer was injured so badly he needed to stay in the hospital overnight. Queens County Police managed to get Chandler into custody. They have not released the mental state of Chandler. He will be arraigned in Queens County Criminal Court; located at 125-01 Queens Blvd. Kew Gardens NY 11415. He is being charged with numerous felonies and misdemeanors including attempted murder, arson and assault.

Brigitte Harris was 27 years old when she was arrested for the assault and murder of her father Eric Goodridge, 55. She had left her Rockaway, NY home and called the police to inform them there was a dying man in the house. She did not say that she bound and gagged the man, then castrated him and left him to bleed. Goodridge suffocated before the police could respond to his daughter’s call. Queens County Police arrived to find Goodridge handcuffed with a towel shoved in his mouth. The scalpel Harris used to castrate him was still in the room. Harris burned Goodridge’s castrated penis in the oven before she left the house, fearing paramedics would be able to reattach it. Queens County Police caught Harris after she checked herself into a hospital for psychiatric evaluation. She was arrested and taken to Queens County Supreme Court, where her bail was remanded. Harris is now on trial for numerous felony charges including murder, tampering with evidence and manslaughter. Dersein Dominguez, 31, was riding the Port Authority Trans Hudson train; otherwise known as the PATH train, which runs from New York to New Jersey, and was recently arrested. He ran up to a 31 year old woman, who was also waiting for the PATH train at the 9th Street station NYC, and molested her. She screamed and sent him running, which allowed her to escape onto the train without him following her. Once her train arrived to Hoboken, NJ, she alerted the Port Authority police. They immediately began looking for her assailant. Surveillance tapes showed Dominguez at the station masturbating behind a bench. He was arrested and faces a felony charge of criminal sex act by force as well as a misdemeanor charge of public lewdness. Bernard Mutterperl was 19 at the time he was arrested May 10, 2007 for stalking, then attempting to abduct a young girl in Brooklyn, NY. Xochil Garcia, then 11 years old, had been walking back from the store where she bought her mother a gift for Mother’s Day. She noticed Mutterperl following her and ran for safety in her Brooklyn apartment building. He followed her inside and tried to abduct her. She managed to break free from his hold and managed to ring the doorbell to her apartment as well as several others. Mutterperl was caught by neighbors a few moments later by Garcia’s brother and the alerted neighbors. Mutterperl was originally taken to Riker’s Island, which is in the East River between Bronx and Queens. He was held on $1 million dollar bail and faced charges of attempted kidnapping. Mutterperl was 21 when he was held on trial in King’s County Supreme Court, located at 320 Jay Street Brooklyn, NY 11201. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Nassau County Police have arrested Emilia Lanzetta, 44, on four sepeate counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Police reports indicate that Lanzetta; who resides at 37 Tudor Rd. in Hicksville NY, took her four children to the Bethpage Community Park. The pool is located at 1 Stewart Ave Bethpage, NY 11714. Lanzetta allegedly took her children who are between the ages 6-11 years old to the pool and left them alone for the entire day. The park offers a pool, kid’s playground, café, tennis and much more. She paid the $4.00 admission for each child but it is unclear id she paid the fee for herself to go in as well. Officials have not made public what time she dropped the children off, but did say that they were called at 6:45pm that day. Nassau County police picked the children up and help them at the 8th Precinct. Child Protective Services interviewed the children while they were waiting for their father to pick them up. Reports say it was not uncommon for Lanzetta to leave the children unattended at the pool. Lanzetta will be arraigned at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street Hempstead NY 11550.

Nassau County Police had special operation officers patrolling in unmarked cars when an officer witnessed an alleged drug sale. The officers were in North Massapequa, NY near North Bay Ave. when the transaction took place. The dealer, Christian Encarnacion; a 35 year old resident of Lindinhurst NY, and the buyer, 30 year old Massapequa resident Tracy Nagle were immediately approached by police. Nagle was found with two bags of cocaine. Encarnacion’s car was searched and had more than 30 bags of the illegal narcotic. They also found Encarnacion’s two children sitting in the back seat of the car while he made the sale. The children, ages 7 and 5, were taken to the precinct and later released to their mother. Nagel has been charged with possession of an illegal drug. Encarnacion was charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Both parties will be arraigned in Nassau First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead NY 11550.

A dangerous early morning car fire at 128 Guy Lombardo Ave. in Freeport, NY turned out to be done purposely by the car’s owner. Anthony Rosario, 18, set a car on fire in front of the apartment building he lived in. The car was his own. His apartment building has 80 units, and the fire was less than three feet away from the building, but luckily no one was hurt. Freeport Police were able to arrest Rosario because his apartment building’s surveillance cameras caught him in the act. They have also reported that officers found a gas can nearby and an unusually large amount of gasoline in the car. Freeport Police have also stated that Rosario did not like his car and purposely set it on fire. He has been charged with arson and reckless endangerment. Nassau County Police went to the home of Brandon Schneider in Hicksville, New York to arrest him for failing to appear in court as ordered. Jason Page, 34, was convicted in June of kidnapping and assaulting his then-girlfriend Denetria Council. Yesterday he was sentenced at Brooklyn Supreme Court; 330 Jay Street, Brooklyn NY 11201; to 25 years in prison for his crimes. The Brooklyn District Attorney told the court how Page duct taped his girlfriend to a baby crib and whipped her with an extension cord. He burned her feet with a cigarette lighter and slapped her around. He kept her hostage for two weeks in their Bushwick, NY apartment. His reasoning was that she deserved it because he thought she was cheating on him. Council now has permanent scars on her arms from the assault. In Elmont, New York, a 15 year old boy invited 3 friends, ages 12-14 years old, to his uncle’s house. The fifteen year old had found a hand gun that his uncle owned and showed it to the group. They all passed the gun around to look at it, when a 14 year old in the group accidentally fired it into the leg of his 15 year old friend. Reports indicate that the gun had not been loaded at first, but the magazine was found and placed it in the weapon. Reports also do not say whether the uncle was home at the time of the shooting. Nassau County Police were called in. Paramedics took the injured boy was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554. Luckily the bullet went into his thigh and he was not seriously injured. Nassau County Police from the Fifth Precinct investigated the incident and found the handgun and bullet in the house. An angry Hempstead, NY woman set out to get her revenge on her ex-boyfriend by setting his car on fire. Asia Frasier, a 19 year old woman who resides at Alabama Ave. in Hempstead, went to the house of her ex-boyfriend early one morning and proceeded to set fire to his Ford Taurus automobile. The fire completely totaled the car and damaged the house on Lincoln Avenue, which is also in Hempstead, NY. Cameron Douglas, the 30 year old son of famed actor Michael Douglas, was arrested in NYC for drug possession and drug dealing. Douglas was staying at Hotel Gansevoort; a 4 star hotel in NYC located at 18 9th Avenue At 13th Street New York City NY 10014. New York City Police have said that Douglas was selling metametaphine out of the hotel. For months Joseph Sulker, a 26 year old resident of Ozone Park, Queens NY, believed he was exchanging emails and instant messages with a 14 year old girl. Tom Sizemore, who had starred in the hit film Black Hawk Down, has been arrested for the second time in 3 months. Oyinda Ojofeitimi, a 67 year old registered nurse, attacked her husband of 20 years after finding out that he had been cheating on her. Emmanuel Ojofeitimi, also a 67 year old registered nurse, had been sleeping in their home on Milburn Street in Springfield Gardens, NY when his wife assaulted him. She used scalding water to assault the sleeping victim; pouring it over his groin as punishment. She wanted to make sure that he would never cheat again Queens County Police reported. The husband woke up screaming so loudly that the neighbors could hear him. Oyinda Ojofeitimi called the police after the assault and treated her cheating husband with compresses until help arrived. He suffered second and third degree burns over his mid section, from his stomach to his knees. New York City Police Department have issued public reports that Chelsea resident Kyle Sahw,17, was responsible for blowing up a Starbucks on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Reports say that the teen was obsessed with the movie “Fight Club” and formed a fighting group like the one portrayed in the movie. He then went on to attack big corporations like Brad Pitt’s character does in the movie. The Starbucks on Third Ave, NY was his first attack. Reports say that a witness may have seen Shaw leaving the scene with another person. It is still unclear if there was an accomplice, and who that person might be. No one was injured during the explosion, but there was property damage to the Starbucks. Shaw was later caught outside of his home in Chelsea, New York, after telling friends he was responsible for the attack. Two young men had broken into a store on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, NY. Job Szwed, a 25 resident of 1870 Bly Rd. in East Meadow, NY; and Christopher Meadows, a 24 year old resident of 26 Nancy Dr. in Westbury, NY; have been charged with third degree robbery. The two stole power tolls out of Halloween Adventure, 1919 Hempstead Tpke. East Meadow NY after the store had closed for the night. Nassau County Police report that the two gained access to the store through a window they broke. Police responded to the call and found Meadows still at the scene and arrested him. Szwed was found later that night and was also placed under arrest. Reports do not indicate how many tools they stole, or the current worth of the missing items. It is also unclear whether the items have been returned. The men will see the judge in Nassau First District Court; 99 Main Street, Hempstead NY 11520.

Five Suffolk County men broke into the Pine Ridge Golf Course; which is located at 1 Avalon Pine Dr. Coram NY 11727; and stole golf carts for a light night joy ride. The men; Justin Vansicklen of Ridge NY, Kristopher Neithercut of Mastic Beach, NY, and Daniel Wottawa, Andrew Burgos and Paul Johnston all of Coram, NY; accessed the golf course through the building next to it. They cut large holes in the fences to get the carts out and ride around. The group drove the carts across the grass of the golf field, causing more than $20,000.00 in damage. They would ride the cart until it broke down then put it back and take a new one. The damage to the carts is estimated at $10,000.00. They were brazen enough to ride the golf carts down the residential streets of Coram while neighbors slept. The group even made a pit stop at Wottawa’s home, located at 24 Halliday Rd. in Coram. A neighbor tipped off police after hearing the noise, and it was then Suffolk County Police arrived at the home. The five tried to flee on foot, but they were apprehended after police chased them. All five men are being charged with second degree felony criminal mischief.

Suffolk County Police caught bank robbers Nicole Feist and Ryan Fabian. The pair, who met in a rehab center for heroin addiction, started robbing banks to support their addiction. The pair robbed two banks in Suffolk County, NY; Madison National Bank on 859 Walt Whitman Rd, Melville, NY 11747 and New York Commercial Bank at 3425 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma NY 11749. Feist and Fabian have been charged separately, each for two counts of first degree robbery. They are also being charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Nassau County Police are also investigating the robberies of two Subway shops and a Lifestyle Sports store the pair is believed to have committed. Further robbery charges may be filed. They were each held on $500,000 cash bail or $1 million bond.

Wenzola Rountree, a resident of Central Islip, Suffolk County was charged with a hate crime after he apparently assaulted two men because they were gay, as he kicked and beat the men profusely and verbally harassed them. He caused them to have bruises, cuts and scrapes. He punched one of the victims in his eye which led him to receive nine stitches. A witness claimed that the men were fighting for about 20 minutes as the victims yelled for help and for the aggressor to stop. Two young women were on Macron Place in Uniondale, NY when they were robbed in broad daylight. The women were walking when a man suddenly approached them and stole their necklaces. He even tried choking one of his victims. Nassau County Police responded to the call and took a description of the thief. Daniel Rothbard, a 28 year old Merrick resident, was arrested after being found in a car with a 15 year old girl. Before the incident Rothbard was employed as a math teacher at Willow Road Elementary School in Franklin Square, New York. Rothbard, who lives at 1271 Meadowbrook Ave., Merrick NY, was parked in his car in the parking lot of an elementary school after hours in West Islip when a Suffolk County Police Officer noticed the car. Dalia Dippolito was only married for 6 months when she decided try to have her husband killed. Dippolito, a 26 year old Boynton Beach, FL resident believed she had hired a hitman to kill her 38 year old husband Michael. In actuality, she hired an undercover police officer. Dippolito and the officer arranged a meeting and she gave him details of her husband’s day, the houses security system and an escape route from the house. She also gave the “hitman” over a thousand dollars to purchase a gun to use and three thousand dollars for actually doing the job. Boynton Beach Police took Dippolito to the precinct, and then arrested her for solicitation of first degree murder. In New York City, La Guardia Airport suffered delays that lasted hours due to the fact that Scott Mcgann, 32, was trying to blow the airport up. Port Authority police spotted Mcgann with a backpack, and a device that closely resembled a bomb and detonator. Darryl Littlejohn, a night club bouncer at The Falls Bar in Soho, New York killed a criminal justice student from Boston, Massachusetts and was convicted in the first-degree for murder. New York City Police reports say that the Boston student Immette St.Guillen was later found in a quilt along an abandoned road in Brooklyn, NY. Andrea McNulty, who works in the Harrah’s hotel in Nevada, is claiming that Ben Roethlisberger sexually assaulted and raped her while staying in the hotel last year. McNulty was working the night of her attack as the penthouse concierge when Roethlisberger allegedly said his television was broken and needed her to fix it. After finding there was no problem she tried to leave but claims Roethlisberger grabbed her. She says she let him know she did not want to be physical with him, but Roethlisberger did not listen. Utah police were answering a call that Shannon Price, Gary Coleman’s 23 year old wife, had locked him out of their home. They arrived on the scene to find Price screaming profanities at Coleman, and then at them. A 16 year old jealous teenager, Kevin Santiago age 16 stalked his child’s mother and stabbed her new boyfriend, Michael Silva age 16 to death. At age 35, Paul Kamienski was running three businesses, had cars, homes,
boats, and many parties. Then, in 1983, his lavish lifestyle ended when he was
convicted of being an accomplice to two drug-related killings.
Sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus 12 years, Mr. Kamienski
struggled for 22 years behind bars, maintaining he was innocent. Last month, a
federal appeals court finally overturned his conviction. On Tuesday, June 16th,
2009, he was driven out of South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, New Jersey,
after spending 22 years behind bars. The decision, written by Judge Theodore A.
McKee, criticized the New Jersey appellate courts for lacking substantial
evidence. However, the the ruling is under appeal by the Ocean County prosecutor
who says that the 12 jurors who first saw the evidence to a guilty verdict.
Then, in 1988, a jury in New Jersey Superior Court did in fact convict two
drug dealers, Anthony Alongi and Joseph Marzeno, of fatally shooting Henry and
Barbara DeTournay. Mr. Kamienski had introduced them to each other. He was found
not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and robbery but was convicted of
acting as an accomplice to the murders. Furthermore, Mr. Kamienski was also
convicted of a drug charge and had another 12 years added on to his sentences.
In addition to all this, the trial judge threw out the convictions, but a New
Jersey appeals court later reinstated them and the sentences. Also, an
ex-girlfriend who testified against him while facing drug charges of her own,
has come under closer scrutiny.

Jessie McFadden, a 21 was picked up by Nassau Police for endangering the welfare of two youngsters. Police reports say McFadden’s left the kids unattended in his house in what was said to be unsafe conditions. Luckily, the 8 month old and 6 year old girls were found unharmed. The child was talem to the hospital for tests. The father was held overnight.

Chrissie Brodigan, 32, claims she was walking in Williamsburg at the Bedford Ave train station when she was assaulted by a New York Police Department Officer. Qi Xian Huang, 53, assaulted his ex wife Shao Ling Ye, 54, with a meat clever in their 67th Street apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Brooklyn Police responded to find Ye injured and bleeding. Steve McNair, ex of the NFL's Tennessee Titans, and his girlfriend were both found dead in a condo in Nashville, TN. Authorities have reported that the woman he was found with, 20 year old Sahel Kazemi, was dating McNair. Just two days before the fatal shooting, Kazemi was arrested for a DUI with McNair in the car. McNair left the scene in a taxi. Nashville police are concluding that was the same day the young woman purchased the gun. Kazemi’s family states that she believed the NFL player was getting divorced from his wife, with whom he lived with just 6 miles from the condo. Public police reports indicate McNair met with Kazemi at the condo early in the morning, but their bodies were not found until late that afternoon. McNair suffered 4 gun shots while Kazemi suffered one. Police believe Kazemi was the shooter and have not ruled out a murder-suicide.

Eugene Tomachinski, a middle aged Connecticut resident, was hanging at his girlfriend’s house in Roslyn Heights, New York when chaos broke out. Authorities say that Tomachinski woke up enraged. He started smashing his girlfriend’s computer and telephone. He became violent with his girlfriend when she tried to stop him. It was then that her father broke them up, and ran with his daughter out of the house. Tomachinski followed the two outside and dragged his girlfriend back in, with the father trying to protect her the entire time. Nassau County Police arrived on the scene after a receiving a neighbors call. Police told him to let go of the woman and tried to restrain him after he refused. Tomachinski attacked the officers; spitting, punching, kicking and even breaking one of the officer’s arms. Three officers were injured during the attack. A Manhattan, NY resident, John Zaubler, has been charged with making threats against Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. Zaubler called police late one evening and told them he planned on blowing up Sotomayor. His reasoning was if he blew up Sotomayor, his girlfriend would not go to federal prison. Officials say he also claimed he wanted to blow up President Obama. After the call, Zaubler called back from his apartment in the Upper West Side in Manhattan to turn himself in. A Georgia resident was arrested in Tybee Island, GA; which is close to the area Miley Cyrus is doing a film. While McLeod was being carted off by authorities, he cursed at police and tried to attack one of the cops trying to subdue him. Jim Leyritz once a Yankee star is in custody once more. He was arrested for assault after allegedly hitting his mate. The cops were summoned to his house in Davie, FL. New York City’s beautiful Time’s Square area which is a tremendous attraction for tourists had a shooting incident occur in front of the Westin Hotel. A pimp whose name is Westin was shot in an area filled with theaters and fine restaurants. He was shot by someone who was not identified. It was probably another pimp who was settling some kind of problem with David Westin. He went down when he was shot in the chest and was then taken to the hospital. He later died from the injury. Two killers were tricked into admitting their guilt twenty years after the murder of Samuel Quentzel. Lewis Slaughter and Roger Williams who had not seen each other in many years were joined in a Nassau police station to tell police about a crime that occurred many years ago. Moises Gutierrez robbed a woman at gunpoint and then fled on a bike. The woman was not injured but was missing her purse. Gutierrez was found later and is being help in custody by authorities. Two different Capital One Banks were robbed by the same man. Both bands are located on Long Island, NY. Edward Aukstolis was caught while he was heisting the second bank. Nassau County police arrested Jessie McFadden, a 21-year-old resident of Jerusalem Ave in Hicksville, NY, for endangering the welfare of two children. Police reports say McFadden’s daughter and her sister were left unattended in his house in what they describe as unsafe conditions. Luckily, the 8 month old and 6 year old girls were found unharmed, even though they were within reach of alcohol and prescription drugs for at least an hour unsupervised. Anthony Badalamenti, a trainer on televisions “The Biggest Loser”, has been found guilty of second-degree criminal assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a weapon. Esther Hershko, of Andover Lane in Woodmere, NY had broken into the home of her estranged husband and tried to light it on fire while he was sleeping. Once inside, she poured lighter fluid on the floor of a bedroom in his Hewlett Bay Park home. She was forced to leave before she was able to light the fire because her estranged husband woke up. He did not hear her in the house, but heard the sounds of his dog having a seizure. Hershko threw the empty can into bushes in front of the house but was spotted by a neighbor who called the police. She was arrested a short time after. Hersko’s estranged husband and the 4 others inside the home were not injured. Hershko has been charged with first-degree burglary, fourth degree possession of a dangerous weapon, five counts of second degree attempted murder, and second degree attempted arson. State Senator Hiram Monserrate, accused of beating up his
girlfriend and allegedly slashing her with a broken piece of glass in a fight in his apartment on December 19th during a fit of jealousy, was indicted on March 23rd on three counts of felony assault and three counts of misdemeanor assaults.

Calvin Butts was stabbed to death in a fight outside a diner. This followed a night of drinking and partying in the Hamptons as the sun was coming up the next morning. Medics tried to revive Butts but were unsuccessful. Butts & Co. had been out all night at a dance club called The White House.

People outside the diner tried to intercept the attackers but were unable to stop them as the took off in a car. The reason for the stabbing is not known and no one has been arrested as yet.

Kiefer Sutherland, the star of Fox’s “24” has been accused of assaulting Jack McCollough, the co-founder of the fashion label Proenza Schouler. Police sources say that Sutherland surrendered at the First Precinct and will be given a desk appearance ticket for head-butting the designer at a Soho soiree.
The incident happened at Submercer nightclub, which was hosting an after-party for the Costume Institute gala held earlier at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Around 2 a.m. an argument between the two began, leaving McCollough with a minor cut, which he reported to the police. Sources say that the argument began after the designer accidentally bumped into actress Brooke Shields.
A representative for Jack McCollough told People Magazine, “All we can say at this point is that he was the victim of a vicious, violent, unprovoked assault and that the matter is in the hands of the authorities”. Last year Sutherland served 48 days in a Glendale, California jail for drunken driving.

The case against Lawrence B. Salander is underway. Prosecutors portrayed him as a master manipulator who operated out of a lavish gallery but cheated art collectors and artists of more than $88 million. Salander was arrested on Thursday with a 100-count indictment accusing him of grand larceny, falsifying business records, scheming to defraud investors, forging documents and perjury.

Sometimes he even sold the same painting to more than one buyer. Manhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau said at a news conference: "Why sell it once when you can sell it three times?" One official said that the authorities believed Salander's take actually exceeded $100 million.

Salander allegedly used the money to finance an extravagant lifestyle as he tried to corner the market in Renaissance art at the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries on East 71st Street. The arrest came 17 months after the gallery was shut down and 16 months after Salander filed for bankruptcy.

Saturday afternoon, 17 year-old Phillip Levy left his Wantagh, L.I. home to go joy riding with a few friends, but never returned. Levy was shot and killed in a Brooklyn apartment by a drunken ex-con showing off his handgun.

Highway Patrolman Gerald Sheehan’s car-mounted camera spotted the two men rolling on the ground. Sheehan separated them, seizing a sushi knife from Zhou in the process. Zhou was accused of slashing Zaiback across his face, head and body, resulting in Zaiback receiving approximately 100 stitches. Zaiback retaliated with his fists, opening a cut over Zhou’s eye. A woman and her son who was ten years old were murdered by two teenagers. According to authorities, the woman was stabbed repeatedly and the boy was hit over the head with a television set.

The Minneapolis teens were charged as adults with first degree murder. The two were identified as Stafon Edward Thompson, 17, and Brian Lee Flowers, 16, both of Minneapolis.They were charged with the deaths of Katricia Daniels, and Robert Shepard. A woman was charged with second-degree grand larceny. She was accused on February 5, 2009.

Fourty-five-year-old Yvette Miller, of 90 45th Street in Copiague, allegedly stole $100,000 from a North Amityville volunteer firefighters charity group. The founder of Adelphia Communications Corp. and his son, Timothy, will face charges in New York, the judge ruled Friday.

It's a case of murder at Fort Bragg. An Army nurse's husband has been charged after police found her body.

Authorities in North Carolina say John Wimunc is scheduled to face a first-appearance hearing in court Tuesday along with a fellow serviceman, Marine Lance Cpl. Kyle Alden. The hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cumberland County District Court.

It appears that the victim's body was left at a place near Camp Lejeune. It had been there for several day according to authorities. She was dead when the body was left at the scene and police arrested the husband and Alden on Sunday night.

A Sergeant told reporters that the fire was set in the apartment but evidence was able to be pulled from the blaze as it died out.

Holley Wimunc, 24, was a nurse at Fort Bragg who worked at Womack Army Medical Center.

There were problems at home and Holley sent her children who she had with another husband to that husband's home. This was a prelude to the murder which she must have feared.

Found in a car wreck, actor Shia LaBeouf was apprehended for DUI/DWI. He was injured but was arrested nonetheless said the police who were on the scene. One of the stars of the new Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford, LaBeouf suffered injuries to his hand and knee.

An LA Sheriff told reporters that the actor smashed into another vehicle at an intersection early Sunday morning. The truck that he collided with wound up over turned.

Tom Coughlin turned two threatening letters he received last month from Herbert Alex Simpson over to the NFL, which passed them on to the FBI.

A man said to be from Philadelphia is facing serious prison time. He tried to shakedown NY Football Giants coach Tom Coughlin, claiming that the coach was involved in a sexual scene with two women, the Department of Justice said. The blackmailer was trying to seed revenge against two former co-workers.

According to the US Attorney in the "city of brotherly love," Herbert Alex Simpson, 30, was charged with criminal illegal use of the US Postal System. Simpson was hoping that authorities would link the mail to his two former co-workers and that they would be blamed and arrested. The targets have not been identified by police or attorneys.

Coughlin reported to the FBI that he received a letter on July 30, from two women who identified themselves with aliases. They claimed to have had sex with Coughlin while his team was playing The Eagles in December. Unless he paid them $10,000-$15,000 each, the women threatened to make the tryst public.

Craig Phillip Robinson has been arrested on criminal drug charges. The actor is best known for his role on the TV show "The Office."

Documents state that police arrested Robinson for suspicious behavior related to criminal drug possession. He is said to have had illegal drugs including the designer drug known as "ecstasy." Documents say that upon posting bail he was released from prison.

Prosecutors in LA said that Robinson was charged with two felony counts. One was of drug possession and he other was of being under the influence of illegal drugs.

One day after killing one person and wounding another, Thunder Collins who played football at Nebraska, was apprehended by authorities.

It's been reported that Singer Songwriter Eric Carmen was arrested for DUI / DWI last night in Ohio. A judge has sentenced Sidney Lowe II, the son of North Carolina State basketball coach Sidney Lowe to 15 months in a low-security prison farm on a host of charges, including robbery and kidnapping.

Brian Keith Patch, an overaged skateboarder who starred at the X Games, will be arraigned Wednesday on a charge of having sex with an underaged girl.

A Canadian schoolteacher charged with sex crimes against a 9-year-old boy goes on trial this coming Monday in Thailand. He was arrested last year following a worldwide manhunt of International Police Agencies.

Lawyers and prosecutors are in agreement that Naomi Campbell has been charged with assaulting two police officers during an altercation which tood place at the luggage claim area at Heathrow Airport.
