Police say they got a call warning of a possible drunk driver. When Nye County Sheriff’s deputies pulled the car over, they discovered it was being driven by none other than Heidi Fleiss. Cops say during the traffic stop they found prescription narcotics for which Fleiss was unable to produce a valid prescription.

Fleiss, 42, and a passenger in the car, John Owen, were found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, the sheriff’s office said. Fleiss was arrested on four counts, including possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription and driving under the influence. Owen, 53, was arrested on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Neither Fleiss nor Owen had any comment on the arrest and it is unknown whether or not they have legal representation. Owens is an unknown and attempts to reach him have gone unanswered.

STP rocker Scott Weiland has completed almost a month in rehab. His attorney reported that he was doing well as reporters crowded the court to hear what the lawyer had to say. Weiland has had problems with drug abuse for an extended period of time but seems to be fighting the problems as well as he can with the help of treatment at an unknown facility.

If you or a family member or a friend gets arrested for driving under the influence, it will serve the defendant well to employ the services of a Queens County Criminal Defense Attorney. The severity of the punishment can be greatly affected by the lack or the existence of a knowlegeable lawyer. Don’t run the risk of imprisonment by not knowing your rights and being able to defend yourself.

Weiland was arrested last November and booked for driving under the influence of a drug. His next court date is Wednesday the 5th.
